Default Garage stage 1

Well I have drywalled and painted the garage as well as acid etched the floor now. This weekend I will go buy a few boxes of adhesive and floor tiles and begin the flooring.

Hopefully it will be ok when I am done!

Just make sure there is no cracks or ruff spots. They will show up. Had mine done by a pro floor guy (brother-in-law) He glued the entire floor nite before. Let it set for 8 hours. Tile will never come up.

Thanks Guys. I am putting the car into storage for the weekend at my Dad's place so there will be no driving on the tiles and so I can just let it sit and bond properly and will have the heat on.

That's what happens when you let men do the reno's w/o a woman to keep it all straight.

Good luck Mike. You using tiles? Thought you were going with epoxy?

I was going to Epoxy Tony but I knew that eventually I would end up having to repair the floor due to peeling etc. I bought the Commercial Vynil tile and adhesive and have gone that route. Half the garage floor is done now and will do the other half tomorrow. I need to let it sit for 24 hrs minimum and don't want to drive the Vette on fresh tiles. Looks awesome though. I'll need to get Shabir over to lay a few nice coats of wax on her though so she is sparkling and then put the vette away for the year

OK so garage went from this....

to this.....

To the almost finished product. I have to wait a few weeks and then buddy is bringing the industrial machine to lay down 3-4 coats of wax.

Now I just need to start decorating with all my vette posters I have stashed all over the place in my office.
