OK, this thing is definitely the "BOMB". It handles better than I thought it would. the exhaust could have used an upgrade. It was a triple black at WN. While I loved the gobs of power and the awesome brakes, I still love my C6 (modded of course). I may consider this as my next/last Vette LMAO. First I need to get a job

- Sierra out...
I'm sure the overtime in another Country will help to pay the C6Z06 bill.

Well now might be your best chance for a Z06, given market values. Have they "re-adjusted" the price back UP, in light of our dollar losing ground last week?

I would have to agree, it doesn't get much better than a 2009 Z06. For my money; dollar for dollar; the Z06 makes a ton of sense as compared to paying $130,000 (whatever it is these days) for a ZR1.

OMG Les! Get out of my mind! You have figured out my scheme. Just don't tell Bonnie

Was still looking at low $80's. Perhaps used makes more sense.

on the topic of new z06
fundraiser at lunch today...sitting on the table was the car & driver Aug 2008 issue with the z06 on the cover.
How much?
"$0.50 for a good cause"
I drop a loonie in her palm and walk off with lunchtime reading.
They've said nothing but, comparatively speaking, bad things about the zo6 and its handling, etc. About the only thing they're saying is great is the trunk space and how comfortable it is on the road. On the track, "turn quick, and the direction change waits while the body slumps to the outside"
they then talk about this "acrid smell of resin" and a bunch of other cheap shots.
I mean, let's be realistic here. You don't sit in a vette and think "Hmmm..this car smells like plastic"...
I just can't believe that this thing handles so poorly.
seems like a pretty bad review and ranked it LAST place vs a 911, viper and GT-R.

Wow, mainstream media with an anti-American bias, who'd a thunk it?
I am probably wrong but I thought it meant paint, interior and seats. I based this on WYCKD 1 and 90TBRAGTOP and how they described their cars.
I'd go with your first instinct...you're wrong! Mark was correct in how he described his car, it was/is a triple black. Lauri, well I'm just not going to touch that one...heh,heh,heh.
Pierre I'd like to understand the circumsances that led you to be test driving an 09Z? Becareful or the same thing that happend to Corrado could happen to you.
Altho after the mods I did to my car and driving it shortly after, I must confess that it was pretty darn close to the stock Z06 I drove last night. I think that I'll hold out for now.
