Why all the locked and moved posts?!
Ok, I don't understand why the moderators are locking and moving so many of our posts. There has been nothing offensive, its all even related to vettes in some way, yet if you scroll down the list of topics in our CANADIAN EVENTS AND REGIONAL DISCUSSION, you will see MANY locked, and moved posts.
To the moderators, I understand that foul language, offensive posts, should be moved/censored, whatever. no problem with that at all. But we are a fairly small community, many of us know each other in the REAL world, we all drive vettes, paid even MORE money for them as Canadians supporting the American economy, we buy many products from American Vendors, but we come to the Canadian events section to organize cruises, get opinions from people we actually know and respect, ect.
We know there is a ZR1 section, and we go there for generalized ZR1 info. The post about the first ZR1 at WN (Canada's largest Corvette dealer) are cool to us Canadians, whereas the US probably has tons of ZR1's in many dealerships, so its not such a big deal to our American friends.
I am asking that we not have to be censored for merely discussing things that concern us as Canadians.
Yes, I know this is an American forum, and I have spent many hundreds of dollars on PAID sponsored American and Canadian vendors and gladly do so.
It would just be nice not to have so many topics moved or locked for no good reason.
Peace out!

I hang out sometimes on the various US Regional sites (just to see pics, etc.), and I can tell you they sure aren't "policed" by moderators like this Forum is.
Is Fantino at the bottom of this??

I agree totally Corrado, this section is where we hang out and discuss things relevant to us as Canadian forum people. I can't see any harm in what it is we talk about.
I'm a BIG CF supporter, and can't tell you how many people I've turned on to this site. That in turn equates to membership=revenue for the owners of this site.

If the intention is to push us out of here, then I agree that the mods are doing a fine job of this. I have become more disenfranchised (TPWotD for Greg) with this place in the past few months. At some point, someone with sense will create a CCF (Canadian Corvette Forum) and they will lose us. It never used to be this bad.

I agree. I was thinking of posting this myself. WTF is going on? Every other post is either locked or moved. Sure there is another ZR1 section, but hey I have never been there or plan on going there regularly. I get most my corvette fix HERE.
Are the mods trying to prove something? Power trip? WTF? Stoping beating around the bush like your politicians and come out and say it
Also, what's with the 2 stickies at the top? I don't think anyone has read them here in the last 2 yrs. We know what the "OT Rules" and "Sticky Guidelines" are already.

This forum is not what is used to be. I have been here a LONG time, but will not hesitate to leave if we are continued to be treated like grade 2 kids.

with ALL of the above comments,
I was going to pay to be a forum member, just about did it,then the forum changed.A "bar" thread, wtf is that about.Listen if they do not have time to moderate our little section, then put the duties out there for someone that is here all the time, sheese.
They want us to post in the off topic section, but it has no relevance to us.
But the problem is even we cannot agree as to what we want,I have seen where some want a section for each model, and some want a section for each different area.If we were all going to be happy to have just a Canadian section, with everything in one forum,we might have a chance, but divided,no way.

I agree. The moderator police on boards can get very annoying.
For me, this forum is not only about people who happen to own the same products. It's about people who have similar interests as a group.
If I want specific info about a C4 technical problem, I'll post on the C4 board. If I want to discuss OT things with other Corvette owners in Canada, because I think they generally have good opinions on certain matters, I post here. I have found many solutions to OT problems on this board.
I suppose a solution would be two boards: one Cdn Corvette and the other Cdn off-topic. Or if the moderators get too picky someone can start corvetteforums.ca .

hey thanks for all the support buds!
I had a feeling I was just echoing most everyone else's opinions, and yesterday as I was reading the forum, looking at so many moved and locked posts I just got fed up. For example Spee's post about what cars we drove before our vettes, it got moved to the main OFF TOPIC section. I'm sure Spiro was asking fellow Canadians what they drove, because like I said we are a fairly small community and want to know about fellow local Corvette drivers opinions.
I don't want to get sent to camp, but this is a free society and like I said, the posts that are being moved, locked etc are nothing controversial at all. I don't believe there are so many posts that we are flooding the section, so no need to move them for that reason.
I usually go on the C6 main section for specific C6 advice and I love that, but for all else I stay here.
Anyways, not trying to start a war, but I think the forum has been great the way it has been, just all the censoring as of late is just not necessary.
