A member sugested I post a link here to get some advice from some fellow "Canadians" ... Think I'm getting "hosed" on this NEW 09 Z06 Price?

Today's Toronto Star Humberview Ad
08 Z06 $78,855 (3 to choose from) If one dealer is advertising 3 available I will bet there is at minimum 20 across the country sitting on dealer lots. Could have financing and gas card deals as well. I personally would be shopping in the US for a gently used car but if you are bent on getting a Cdn car at a Cdn dealer why not try some tough negotiating on an '08.

Ya, been thinking about a used 09 but the chances of one poping with my specs... and me being able to find it before someone else grabs it.. and to get a decent deal on it I;de need to wait for at least another 6 months. Hmm... all good points.

I'll check out the 08 scene before i plunge into the 09 ... I mean besides the minor update on the brake supplyer, oil capacity incease, bluetooth phone... not sure there is much diff in the 09.

THAT BEING SAID, I been thinking the 09 "MAY" be the last naturally aspirated 7L GM built engine ... with the "rumored" BIG changes in 2010 ... I can see them doing away with the big guy .. and puting in a less powerfull version of the ZR1.. making the 09 a cool year to get into being that it is the last in the line of the torque pumping LS7's ... well, my geuss anyways.

All this info and support is great.

Thanks "Billtre" for the price out at Shag. I put out an e-mail and phone message to a Fellow named Wyatt. Hope to chat with him tomorrow.

Ya, Fred Jenner contacted me... I was asking about the 08 but it does not have the Leather Wrap Interior I'm hoping for. He is puting some numbers together for me on an 09.

Lease or finance? If you're financing, you're nuts to buy new. Get an '07 or '08 and save save save.

Bought it last year. 2LZ with nav and chrome wheels. I understand that with the US economy tanking that you can get one even cheaper...

Buy one in the USA. I will bring it in for you. I cannot understand why you would spend 100k plus on one when you can buy the same car in the USA for 15%-25% less. Maybe not the same year but they are all basically a C6 Z06 and differences subtle.

Watch the exchange though, right now it isnt as rosy as it was before, but we are shopping right now and we are shopping in the USA. FWIW.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Adam

Also something to consider!

The no GST is nice, gotta love spending money and keeping Ottawa out of the deal!
