Save some more and buy a C5 Z06, i was almost bought a FRC but glad drop at last min, and pull trigger on 01 Z06, u r always welcome to test drive my Z06 and also test drive a C5 Coupe/vert with 6 Spd, there u can compare and see urself if u want a Z or a Coupe/vert, trust me u will love Z and its only 2-4 grand difference not much.
GL in buying a C5, keep checking Sale section and ebay too, and when u found ur dream car, dont be afriad to ask some forum member to check that out, followed by GM pre-sales inspection report (this u can split money from seller or its optional moneywise), and lastly get the Vehicle info system VIS.
More info when u found ur dream car. Again GL hunting C5, ton of em there but only a couple will beat ur heart, u have to feel that connection or chemistry whatever u call.

I really like the wheels! Looks really hot in triple black!
I'm getting too lazy to own this color combo, but looks like you would be OK with it.
Hey Guys/Girls does anyone have a list of Tax friendly U.S. States in which to buy a U.S. car from ?
Mark,
I found this site a while back, it's not complete but has some of the key states e.g. NY and PA are good for us, but FL and MI are bad unless you arrange for delivery outside the state.

Thanks for the help guys.
Sami : Thanks for the offer. I love the Z06 cars but still want the sunshine.
Dave : Great looking car but I have owned way too many black cars.
Tim: Great Link.

not sure what's so bad about buying from Michigan;
it had to have been one of the most hassle free transactions (this time around) that I've done. quite honestly, I don't know how much more simple it could have been. no sales tax b/c I'm bringing it to Canada, $10 for a temp plate, and no issues with anything at all...

I'm surprised to hear that you got a temp plate in Michigan.
I was told when you o to get the temp plate they charge the sales tax.

Although I have no personal experience with MI, I did read this in the Michigan Sales Tax manual:
8-4.10 When Going to Canada or Another Country. If the purchaser is taking delivery of the vehicle in Michigan and transporting it to Canada or another country (including U.S. territories), 6% Michigan sales tax is due. If the dealer is delivering the vehicle or dealer’s representative outside the state of Michigan, sales tax is not due.

That's interesting about Michigan - I also read that tax there was a hassle.
If you go to the any of the States' website you can usually find a 1-800 number you can call to inquire....
