I read this thread and thought to myself that I'm pretty darned satisfied with what I've got so I'll try to explain:
daily driver - 2000 Corvette Coupe - Slightly modified
sports car - 2000 Corvette Coupe - Slightly modified
weekend/elite - 2000 Corvette Coupe - Slightly modified
SUV - 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Slightly modified (We've been talking about replacing this one and have driven a few new ones, but like it so much that we can't justify the cost of a change.)
family car - 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
super car - 2000 Corvette Coupe - Highly modified
collectible - I don't care for collectibles because they are money pits (been there)
I guess there could be one more category called either Winter Beater or Winter Daily Driver. I currently have a 1999 Acura TL which again I really like. I don't drive this one enough to consider replacing it.
I grin every time I get behind the wheel of my C5. I guess I'm just a boring guy.

one sports car: 89 Pontiac Trans AM GTA… My first car was an 84 TA
one weekend/elite car: BMW 850 CSI (aka M8)
one SUV: Hummer H1… not big on trucks but this would be the one, this would double as my winter vehicle and Track car hauler.
one family car: G8 GXP… get the Holden SS-V front bumper, hood and Spoiler. Reminds me of it's great grandfather the Lotus Omega.
one super car: Lamborghini Countach 5000QVeuro spec
one collectible: Does my 75 Vette qualify even after I do all the mods I have planed? If I'm forced to leave it stock I'd say a 4 speed L88
