East-End...Thursday Ice Cream Cruise?

The weekend weather looks brutal so I'm thinking of cruising up to Uxbridge tomorrow (Thursday) night. There's a Kawartha Dairy store up there and lots of great roads to cruise. There's also a car-show on Thursdays but I'm not sure if it's still active.

Anybody in?

I have to pick up a relative from the airport first, so depending on the time I might be able to make it.

you got to drive the thing!!! You think winter is coming?

I will try to make it depending on time. Used to live up there and familiar with the Kawartha Dairy store. Recall seeing all the cars at Canadian Tire one night but not sure either if that is still going on.

Phew! Left for a cruise at 4:30...just got home. Man I love this car!

Not sure where everyone is coming from but is Brooklin an ok rendez vous point? There's a few nice cruising roads between here and Uxbridge.

There's a Tim Horton's at the SE corner of hwys7 and 12. (but I'm open to suggestions)

I'm easy as far as time goes...how's 7:30?

yes the car show is still there,they get as many as 100 cars.It is on Reach street,it is at the old dominion auto building which is now the living waters church.If you go say hello to "Johnny Cockrane" for me,he runs the chip truck at the show!

Good day everyone - this is an awesome turn out for a simple country cruise to an ice cream shop!!

So as Scott (Brooklinite) said we meet at the timmies in the plaza at the South East corner of Hwy 12 (Brock, Whitby) and Hwy 7 (Winchester Rd) at 7:30pm or earlier.

The Kawartha Dairy closes at 9pm and we have a 30 to 40min cruise max on the back roads so will likely leave Timmies at 7:45 or so.

The route will be Hwy 7 West.
Ashburn Rd North - a few nice houses along here and just a general nice country road.
Mast Rd - kinda goes North West at top end of Ashburn Rd. (If this is a gravel rd then we can backtrack and take anything that goes West - it'll take us to Lakeridge Rd)
Hwy 21 West - just East is the town of Utica - so don't go that way.
Hwy 23 (Lakeridge Rd North)
Wagg Rd West
Foxfire Chase - kinda North West - this is a subdivision of million dollar homes and some nice twisty roads.
Brookdale Rd - kinda North West - also nice twisty country road.
7th Concession North
Elgin Park Rd West
Hwy 47 (Toronto St South) go South and look on the West side - newer plaza has a Country style and the ice creme shop is in this plaza.

If you miss the starting point then the fast way is Hwy 7 West to Lakeridge Rd then North to #21 - Goodwood Rd and then West to Concession 7 and Go North to the Elgin Park Rd etc or could go right to 6th Concession and go North to Hwy 47 and come into Uxbridge from the South - either way likely 20 to 30 min from the timmies in brooklin.
