First dirve with new 427ci small block !
Finally got the brakes sorted out, and yes the hydroboost will stop on a dime and give you nine cents change. I almost went through the windshield the first time i applied them, they should warn you
Any way the 427 is a real animal. It has so much mid range power thanks to the heads flowing 300cfm at less than .500" lift. You hit the gas and the front of the car lifts up and I can't see the road anymore.
It still has the nice street manners that my old 406ci did so it will be fun to drive around town. THis is what I was shooting for, lots of power but I didn't want it to be a pain to tool around town. The temps never got over 180degs, but I am using plain water at the moment.
It idles anywhere I want it and it runs smooth, very smooth and the power comes on like out of no where. I am very, very happy with the results of all the work I put in on this
Oh yeah the T&D shaft rocker are the real deal. I checked them and none really needed adjustment from my pre fired cold setting. They are allot of money but there is no movement except for the rocking on the fulcrum.
It seems to give you a sense of security that the aren't going no where. That coupled with a bullet proof bottom end with a block with billet steel splayed caps and Callies crank and so on, this one's gonna hit the rev limiter
Here's a vid of the 427ci idling

Thanks, guys.
No popping, probably just the noise of a cranky solid roller cam with over 250deg duration, the motor is dialed in already, The timing is set to 34deg total and I have a laptop in the passenger seat to monitor air/fuel ratio in real time
