Banquet halls

A little off topic I know. Just wondering if anybody could suggest a decent banquet hall in and around Mississauga,Oakville, Burlington area. Pat and I are planning a wedding next year and wondering if anybody has had good luck with any certain facility or perhaps attended a function that provided good service.

Sorry, can't help you with the banquet hall thing but I'm sure there are dozens out there. Check out Othelo's at Royal Windsor and Ford Drive...they always seem to be busy.

The 4 of us need to get together and have a celebration drink (or two) soon!!

Check out the Mississauga Convention Centre at Derry and Hurontario! I just attending a wedding there on July 12th and it was excellent! They had their entire wedding there, the ceremony and the reception, and everything went smoothly and the food was awesome! And the bartender there was excellent too, my wife kept trying to trip him up with unique drinks that she didn't think he could make, but there wasn't a single one he couldn't do! I've been to other events at that place too and was always impressed with both the service and the food.

Burlington/Hamilton area:

Geraldo's in Lasalle Park. Christmas dinner/dance I was there. Great building, good food can't remember the size of the building, but for the company it worked very well.

Other place that is impressive, inside, is Liuna station in Hamilton. A former train station converted and renovated very well. Although it's downtown Hamilton, the interior and hall itself make up for everything else.

A friend's daughter is holding her reception at the Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton. I believe they are letting them bring their own wine as they have been bottling for the last month.

Very different venue.
