Wow, Rush...brings back some good memories. April Wine and Rush...Trooper and Rush. Keystone Centre Brandon Manitoba, must of been 32-38 years ago. In concert, Rush's songs went for ever and ever and.....one song blended into another, into another...... They tell me I had good times at them though...

the pic was taken last week (July 9th) at the Molson Amplitheater.
this was a backstage thing, Geddy was their, I was standing beside him at one point, but didn't bother to interupt him, as he was talking with family.
No Peart thou, he splits right after the show.

Holy ****! That's awesome Romeo. It must have been a dream come true to meet your favourite band. You know Peter Zezel? He was in the Blues and the Leafs I totally remember him.
Very cool... I totally grew up a fan.. And Smook, where did YOU go to school? Geddy went to my highschool in North York.. Bathurst and Finch
Yup. North York = Willowdale !!!
He sat behind me in Grade 6 English glass at Silverview Public School. That's of course when he attended class. He was always writing poems too. (who would ever know.... !!!)
Then, Northmount Jr. High, and then Newtonbrook High School.
Geddy, (typo Mark.. I wasn't that close to him... he usually wasn't in school). Even in Grade 6, he was playing in the band already and they played at his house in the garage, with the garage door closed. You could hear them play at the end of the street!! I also remember him getting a black Porche very early in his career. It was the first Porche in Willowdale back then. He drove it all the time and he drove it hard and fast. We always would say, that's Geddy's car! btw no one ever saw a Porche before that.
All good memories! They even played at the school dances in the area as RUSH back then!
