My understanding (but could be all wrong) from several officers with PRP (Peel Regional Police) & OPP is yellow speed signs are "suggested" speeds for control safety - usually found on highway on/off ramps and sharp curves.
However, you cannot exceed the posted speed of the road you are entering/exiting or traveling on.
Highways - 100km - you can be charged if exceeding this but not for exceeding yellow posted speed
Sharp curves - say, normally 80km, again can be charged if exceeding normal posted speed but not for exceeding Yellow sign posted speed.
