Default 600 km today

The wife and I loaded up and drove to a funeral today, gorgeous day and perfect conditions. We went through Wainwright, up to and past Cornation Alberta, and then a little further south.

After the funeral we went back to my Cousin's farm and talked to family, some of which I havent seen in 30 years. All in all, nice day, and had a wonderful visit with family. My Uncle was 79, had a grocery list of ailments, and it was his time. His daughter flew home from Austrailia, where she has lived for the last 30 years to see him in the hospital, but missed him by a day. It was of course roughest on her.
Uncle John will be missed.

On the way home, we stopped a couple times, for a juice, for supper to take home to the kids, etc. At every single stop, the Vette got tons of attention. And of course there were a few cousins and Uncles that I had to drive around the block after everyone was leaving the church.

The best one, was at Wal-mart in Wainwright. My wife got out of the car to get chicken Mcnuggets for the kids, and 3 young kids were standing there. She heard one of them after the normal oohing and aahing say "WOW, you wouldnt expect people that drive a car like that, to shop at Walmart!"

The only way it got wet, was overspray from passerby drool, and bug guts.

No rain this way. Rained at your house?
