I was thinking of going all out and going with either the LG Pro or Dynatech Supermaxx headers.
They both cost around the same price (~ $1900 shipped) and although I'm leaning towards the LG Pro's due to their popularity, my local shop swears by Supermaxx and tells me that they're slightly easier to install than the LG Pro's.
With that being said, maybe I should message that guy who's selling the LG Streets. That's a good price indeed...

Most of the top brands are very much the same as far as install. The LG's have proven time and time again to be the best on the market. The Street Series are an excellant buy ,new or used .The Pro's are the best it gets and offer you much better gain's overall . If you plan on going to a power adder or into the 500hp range ,they are the way to go.
From our testing at the track and on the dyno If you are going to go with a power adder in the future than the LG's are not the way to go. The longer primary will hurt power up top-all the really fast guys with power adders run the Kook's or American Racing headers.
If your staying N/A then the LG Pro's will make more power under the curve than the rest-peak will be the same, but power under the curve will be greater.
Passing an E-test with the LG pro's will be alot harder as well, especially with mods such as a cam. The further back the cat's are from stock the less heat they hold.

Unless your thinking turbo then you won't need headers at all!
Listen to your shop, as Dynatech comes with a complete bolt on package, all gaskets and header bolts. Nothing wrong with LG, they are a great header system, but on your 2000 FRC you will need to replace your air tube that runs behind the intake manifold in order to adapt to the LG. Dynatech have specific headers for your year car so no mods required and they are an easy install. You should be able to get a better price then $1900 shipped.

Is that the same case with the LG Streets? Or do the LG Streets have shorter primaries?
LG streets still have the 32" primary but lack the race merge collector that the LG Pro's have. LG pro's also feature a true x-pipe and 3" mid-pipes while the streets have a stamped X-pipe and a 2.5" midpipe.

In my many hrs of researching cams for my LS1, looking at cam only (+ Bolton mods) Dynos I noticed the same results as Arun has pointed out. The LG make great power under the curve and would make an excellent street header. The AR often got the best peak power buy have a strange drop in the midrange. I figure if you’re on the drag strip you're never in the midrange.
I'm not saying anything bad against any of the headers they all have their strengths, it's up to you what you want most.

If u r not making or dont have plan to go over 450 Rwhp than LG pro are just waste, Street is the way to go, they might look small but u be surprised when u get it, ofcourse Pro's are good to have but at cost of 500 bucks over? eek. Manny got dam good price on these.

FRC ken: i saw both headers pro and street in person, when i met manny last weekend, the only 2 major difference is merge Collector's on Pro are little longer may be an inch or 2 and mid pipe is 3" all the way to Catback muffler pipes, and also Pro's X-pipe are joined together and welded, where as Street X-pipes are Crossed welded and 2 1/2" size, other than they both are identical.
