Nice car, NICE rims!
Congrats,
I was on the verge of buying mine south of the border as well but at the least minute found everything I wanted I at the price I wanted to pay.
I did however buy a new boat in Vermont last November and it was pretty simple. Saved quite a bit!
By the way, what are those rims you have on?

Not sure what they are called but the previous owner bought them from Factory Reproductions.
Also - another update.
I went online to RIV and paid the $250 RIV fee which covers you for the inspection at Cdn Tire and also contacted GM Vintage services dept and paid them $250 for them to fax directly to RIV the clearance letter - RIV sent me Form 2 by email that same day.
Went to cdn tire and she passed inspection as I knew it would and also had them do a safety and emissions test which is required to get my sticker. But I am waiting for my personalized plates to show up before I go do that - only thing is safety is good for 36 days so gotta watch and not let it go outta date. The car has passed everything easily.

OK, I have to ask... How are you guys finding these cars? Are you just going on autotrader? are you looking just in Buffalo or MIchigan? Thinking about getting my wife into some kinda SUV and curious if this is the route to take. But curious where you are looking? literally, is it online if so, what sites etc... thanks

eBay is great for this, I bought my wife's SUV in Penn. at a Chev. dealer and they delivered it for free to the border. They had done over 300 internet sales and many to fellow cdns. so I talked with a few up here who bought and they highly recommended the dealership. I would definately do it again, unless the local dealerships can match the price.
