Default Paint My Calipers?

Getting bored this winter - only had the vette out for 1 short ride in the last 2 months..... thought maybe I'd take on a little project like painting my brake calipers.....my butt's getting sore from sitting around in the evenings watching Family Guy re-runs... I've seen in some threads that some guys use spray paint, some use brush... I'll probably use the brush on paint.... what's a good brand to use and where's a good place to get it? Also, I can't seem to decide whether to paint just the calipers or the metal part of the brake pads too ... there's pics on the forum of both.....

I spray bombed mine with Duplicolors anodized look. It's a 2 stage paint, silver first and then colour, in this case red.

Did my Sky Redline Turbo with the Duplicolor kit from Wally World for $16.00...

Very easy and great results..

Do not need them on the Vette as it is a Z06

Hope that helps!

I'd probably do a better job if I drank the vodka 1st.....I'll try it my way! Like the old commercial goes :

"MOTHER PLEASE! I'D RATHER DO IT MYSELF!"

If I had to do it over again I would have taken the calipers completely off,and re-installed with the stainless braided lines, flushing and re-filling the brake system, hindsight, lol.Plus I had just installed the thicker tunnel plate, would have been nice to have done it all at the same time.Oh well who says 50 yr olds don't get excited, lol.

That's great, now I have another winter project. Also just saved $200 by doing this myself. I figure this is a 3 beer job.

Default Caliper painting

Would like to do mine also, but trying to find a colour that goes with MagRed II. Does the high temp paint come in gold perhaps? Looking for opinions.Thanx
