ok so i'm finally buying legit MP3 music from iTunes. Sound quality is much better fro mother sources and I feel much better about the musicians getting payed for their work.
BUT, iTunes uses MP4 compression now (or did they always?)
MP4s don't play on the C6 stereo.
how can I convert the itunes MP4s to MP3s so I can make CDs for my car???
Been researching lots, downloaded a program called SWITCH, it converted them, but there's no sound when I play them back.
Anyone know a solution?? Surely you must be able to burn a Cd of songs that you PAYED for to listen to?

You could make CD's but the most songs you can expect to burn is around 115 per disk. Or..... buy an iPod interface kit and play thousands of songs. It is arguably the easier route, versus conversion to MP3

The way I understand the DRM is you are able to share your songs, or burn your songs purchased from the iTunes music store 5 times.
They are downloaded in AAC format at 128 kbps, apparently it sounds better than an equivalent mp3 at the same bit rate.
To convert or burn your songs to mp3's, go to the iTunes tab then to preferences. Click on the Advanced tab, and there you'll see the
Burning heading. You should see
Audio CD
MP3 CD
Data CD.
DRM is the biggest PITA going! After buying LP's, CD's, and digital copies of music they still want to try and dictate what you can do with your purchased product.
Have no fear, there is a solution. First off go get DRM Converter from here:
It will convert anything you can play on your PC via ITunes or Windows Media Player into unprotected MP3's. It costs $ depending on the version you want but it has paid for itself 10 times over for me. (See SpiralFrog reference below)
Secondly, go get the free DBPoweramp music converter from here:

I don't think Corrado was concerned with DRM, but wanted to know how to burn a CD from his downloaded iTunes music, either as an MP3 or an uncompressed CD.
