Default OT- Wanted Dirt Bike 250cc+

Well first off Happy New Year to Everyone.

Just in case you happen to hear of something I am looking for a dirt bike. Haven't been on one in years after I got into motorcycle racing but here I am once again yearning to get into the dirt again and break more bones etc. Nothing too serious as I have a wrecked shoulder as it is awaiting surgery ( I know Lauri and I will get it fixed ). Looking to spend a couple grand on a 250cc bike or bigger just to get me mobile and cruising, trail riding etc. I so miss pulling wheelies . Anyway I'm going to start checking out the classifieds etc but thought I would post something here as well. I'm a Honda / Yamaha guy but am open to most makes. Thanks.

Ha, lets see what comes first, the shoulder or the bike....

I guess while you are all playing in the dirt, I'll be all alone on the street...this is what I'm saving my pennies for come spring...

Lauri

PS..just don't tell my mother...

Steve, I'm actually looking for exactly what you have... powerful enough for me to have fun with get mamed but hopefully not killed LOL... I'll have to get my rifing legs back. I have a 117 acre farm to practice on so hopefully it won't take long I found a couple leads I'm looking into but as you can well imagine most bikes have been beaten to a pulp. Personally I'm leaning to the 2 strokes for the power so I'll see what comes up. Hard to find the CR250r's found this bike.

I may drop you a line Steve and maybe you can point me in the right direction of good and bad. Been so long that I am clueless as to good moto X bikes.

Lauri, if you have to ask you don't know me LOL LOL I can still drive to Carlisle with one arm....

Found actually a nice FZR 600 for you vs those puny twin cyl bikes. Not much invested for a great starter bike. If you shovel my driveway I won't tell Pinky

Hey Mike, thats a good deal but I see its a 4stroke which means its equivilant to a 115cc 2 stroke. I think you would want something bigger.. and dont worry too much about them being beaten to a pulp (most usually do). Everything is easy to fix or replace pretty cheap. For about 4-500.00, You can make a bike look brand new. (all new plastic, tires, handlebars, grips etc)

Going to contact the guy with the 2- CR250R's later. I like these bikes far better. May convince my cousin to buy the other one. Thanks for the help Steve! Maybe I buy both and stud the tires on one and do a little ice racing
