Default A/c Light On/defroster

A strange thing happening with my '02 vert..... up till now, with the defroster on, the A/C indicator light would come on, indicating that the compressor was working, but now it just flashes then goes off! Took it into the dealer, as I have GMPP, they couldn't seem to find a problem, so they evacuated/recharged and replaced a pressure sensor switch, and it worked while driving it home..... note that it was only about +1 degree out. This morning, I figured why not take the vette for a ride as I'm going into the office for a bit, and once again,it flashes and blinks off....and the A/C compressor won't engage... anyone have a similar situation? Seems I remember the little light as always being on in the past....

I may be wrong but isn't it supposed to only turn on above 4C? I leeched this from my C6 owners manual:

"Air conditioning does not operate at temperatures below
about 35°F to 40°F (2°C to 4°C). In temperatures
above 40°F (4°C), the air conditioning cannot be turned
off in defrost and defog, as it helps to remove moisture
from the vehicle. It also helps to keep the windows clear"

Right, same thing in my manual, but it also says the A/C cannot be turned off while in the defrost mode - the little light was always on before while in the defrost mode... now it just flashes and goes off...well, I still have pleanty of GMPP till May '08 or 120,000 kms! So, if it breaks, I guess it will be a lot easier to find the problem and fix it.....I better get out there quick and use up all those kms! So I get my money's worth! hehehe.....today seems like a good day to start ... maybe I'll drive up and down the new expressway all day - it just opened this morning.....

When my '97 AC light was blinking, it was because I had run out of refrigerant due to a leak in the system...at least that's what they told me.

Well, I took mine in to the dealer, the juice was full, and they couldn'r find a problem, they changed the pressurte switch, and it did it again since - guess I'll worry about it more next spring!

In the east end of Hamilton "The Red Hill Expressway" opened Saturaday. It runs from the QEW up to join the "Link" across the top of Hamilton to 403.

Ya Stan, we were only 5 minutes away from it yesterday when we parted ways at Hwy 20. I actually didn't know it was open yet or I would have told you guys to take it.

Can you believe it, those guys running on empty and needing to stop! We didn't even have any C3's with us on this cruise.
