Time to fess up. Anyone here have something they don't like about their vette?
I'll start. I've had the car 2 weeks now and there are some things I've become disgruntled with. It's a short list.
1. I miss the power top I had in the Camaro.
2. The colour black. (this is one of those love/hate relationships)
3. The heat coming from the transmission channel.
4. When putting the top down, the door windows open automatically, why not do the reverse when putting the top up?
5. The 1-4 shift. (I'm getting the CAGS eliminator).
However, no regrets in getting the car. I'm having an awesome time with it.

4. What does this have to do with me putting the top up on my car? I get out of my car and open the top cover, then the windows go up if they are in the down position.

- to help with fuel economy and to prevent the corvette from getting hit with the gas guzzler tax, Chevrolet has devised a plan when travelling between 24 to 34 kph, when shifting out of first gear, you are forced to go to fourth gear (2nd and 3rd are locked out). The CAGS eliminates this.

2. I feel your pain. But you have to admit, when she's clean, there is nothing sweeter than a black Vette.
4. I don't think this would work in reverse. If you were to put the top up with the windows up, you would be laying the rubber grooves over the windows with the windows already in position. Might be awkward. I haven't even tried it. I'm not sure if all of the mechanism would clear the windows if they were up.

Overheard a group of kids passing the Vette,one kid says" my dads rust@#@ would kill that car",lmao,right.
But imagine the kids dis-appointment with his father when he gets older,no wonder society is in such a sad state!
I relize Corvettes are not always the winner,just 99.9 percent of the time,but they are the sexiest and fastest looking cars just standing still 100 percent!You would have to spend a lot more money to achieve that with the odd offshore car.But to think you can achieve that by buying a less valued car,not!Having said that,the solstice/sky is close and would make a good second car for the Vette.
I feel Mr Pierre's pain. The sickingly quiet stock exhaust was the ONLY thing I didn't like about my car. They just HAD to go!
I can honestly not think of anything I don't like about it now.
Black is the BEST color when clean, but I wouldn't get black, very hard to keep clean and you get swirl marks. But black cars DO look better in the shade, (Thanks Gino Vanelli!) and they also look the meanest.

Seriously, what I don't like is that I can't drive this car like my old C5... taking exit ramps at triple the posted speed, doing 360's at will, stuff like that
I hate the scraping sound that litte black plastic strip on the underside of the front of the car makes when going up and down the incline of my driveway (even worse after I slammed it). Not sure how bad it is on the C5 but on the C6 it sounds horrible and the look you get from your neighbours you feel you have to stop and say "it's ok don't worry no harm is coming to the car it's is just the little plastic thingy under the car"

ok Brian, you got me, I forgot about that, I HATE that ,it is embarassing and the sound HURTS, even though I know its not actually hurting the car.
