Default *rant* Parts Source

okay I hate Crappy Tire and it's Parts Source Affiliate as of now. I'm usually forgiving but if someone says something then they should keep to their word, especially a large company like Canadian Tire/ Parts Source. I went in on Sunday and they ran a quick check on my electrical system (doubting that too but taking them at their word because it does make sense) ordered the alternator I need to replace for my car and they said they'd get it here for Tuesday... today, well it's not in, I have to chrage my battery at night and now I have no idea when my car will just die on me... it could be in a very bad situation... If it was something that could wait I wouldn't mind but they stock that stuff and they stock big mufflers and decals... it's the important stuff they don't have

*End rant

CT I don't mind that much as long as I deal with a full time employee, not temp students. Parts Source on the other hand is crap. They have no clue how to look up aftermarket parts and check prices. They suck. Period.

I tried to order a set of valve cover gaskets for my 73 350 from CT and it took the kid forever to figure it out...when he did he said "I have one in stock", I said never mind...I couldn't even get an air filter for my wifes Pontiac Vibe-rator, ...out of stock
Don't even want to discuss mechanical, cross threaded lug nuts , new tires totally out of balance... I stay away from those places, do all my own mechanical and order my parts from Napa or Corvette Central, or a local speed shop, success every time

Get a re-useable filter if wife wants to use the Vibe-rator a lot.

I use those places as a LAST resort. Servicing 6 cars the parts add up I found a parts guy years ago that I can work with and I get a better price on my stuff.
