Default Vetteless

Well I had a brand new tranny installed two years ago in the ZR. I've put on maybe 4000miles since and the tranny went on it last week so I am Vetteless. I have no clue when it will be repaired but I am just tired and pissed of fixing cars. Maybe I should sell the Vette and buy a 350Z.

Don't do it Mike. I"m on the shelf too waiting to get my Vette's rear end done. But in the end, no pun intended, like Pierre said they are really I'll have a toast to us and our cars in few minutes.

Bill,
Why not give him one of yours? You have 3 or 4 now right?

Or maybe a C6 Z06 w/ a warranty?

I know the feeling Mike, trust me. But when it's fixed, it'll all be worth it.

Ha! That's nothing! I spent 7.5 years doing the body-off restoration! I've owned fast cars since I was 14, and those 7.5 years of not driving one nearly killed me!

Get it fixed, and when it is, you will forget all about the problems the first time you go through the gears!

Are ZR1's known for transmission issues?

Mike, fix it, drive it, blow up the next tranny/engine/rear....never give up.

You would have given up many years ago if you had a C3. Our cars look great, but require more repairs as they age.

It seems as though I'll never catch up sometimes, but after owning my '80 for 13 years, I know it's worth it.

Keep The Faith Man.

Well thanks for the support guys and Jay.....I'll get the Fiero so at least we'll be evenly matched when we race! Lauri......I've got the number of a good polisher for you...seems as though I'm busy the week you want your car cleaned

I found out there there is actually a design flaw with the ZF that starves oil to the forwward gears that end up welding themselves to the main shaft. I'll find out in the next day if this is the case as the tranny is partially dissasembled. Damit! Not to worry Mo...I'm not letting you have all the fun!!!

Don't worry Mike, Wed. will be three weeks without mine!
Thought I get it back by then, but hit a major snag today, and looks like another week, or so!
