I have this funny stench that is most noticeable when the car is in high speeds ie. 100km plus without any Air Conditioning on. I am thinking its heat related.
Smell is coming from the floor area on the passenger side. I think its coming from the middle column of the vehicle. My bud suggested that it may be the heat generated from the engine around the foot well area.
Any one have any suggestions. Any products out there that may get rid of this presence.
I already clean the carpet with the Turtle Wax carpet cleaner.

What year do you have? Your heater core could be leaking which could cause an antifreeze smell to come into the car

There a few ways to check this but the easiest/cheapest is to take it to a rad shop and have them pressurize the coolant system...they take the rad cap off and put one that has a air hose and gauge attached to it...they pump the system with air and then watch the gauge..if the pressure drops, you have a leak somewhere...then they have a series of tests they run after that to determine where
Another "old trick" is to go out when its dark with a black light...yes, I said black light...shine it in the engine bay and underneath your dash..if there's a coolant leak, it will glow. I know...where the hell do get a black light...mine burnt out in '76
Finally, take the passenger side floor mat out and open the little hatch door that houses the secondary fuse box and Body control module...make sure there's no water/antifreeze in that cavity. Then take off the underside panel of the passenger footwell...this will give you access the blower motor...run the car on a hot day and see if the foam filter at the bottom of the blower motor is wet...if it is, your drainage plugs are blocked, in which case, read this...(see post #3)
I am wondering if it could be from the air-conditioner. If there is a musty smell it could be because of mould. Either lysol or GM does sell a cleaner/deoderizer will help. Make sure the drain/rubber tube is open.
It might even be a plastic bag burning on your pipes. Happened to me and it only showed up after running on log distances. Must put the car on a lift to view. To fix this issue you must scrape off all the burnt plastic. Took mine to a tire shop while balancing my tires. He cleaned my pipes.. cost $25.00. (and it took him about 40 mins to get all that stuff off)

btw Also check for spilled milk on the passenger carpet. It smells terrible too. It's almost impossible to clean-out. To check this, remove the carpet completely and see if the smell returns.
Since my original post last night, I have not had a chance to invesigate.
When I ran my AC full blast and the smell is not coming from the vents. In fact, when the AC is on, the smell is not noticable. Not sure if this relates to any of the above suggestions.
In response to the passenger while in excessive speeds. The answer is no or at least I know its not coming from the passenger.
The smell resembles kitty litter, its very hard to describe. Maybe the solution its to keep the roof off while I am driving.
I had all my fluids changed when I got the car, do you think the leak would have been noticed by the mechanic. Also, I do not have any evidence on my garage floor that would indicate a leak of some sort. I guess that is why I should check the areas mentioned above.
Thanks again for the help. Keep all suggestions coming.
