Very cool flick for sure Bill. Neil Young as the driver and Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys) as his ride along mechanic in a 55 Chevy with a 454 I think if I remember correctly. Warren Oates driving an orange GTO as the antagonist. Saw it on TV recently I think on Bravo. Good luck finding a copy.

I just ordered this movie on dvd. It is brand new and the price with shipping was $30.15 converted to Canadian. Not too bad for a hard to find movie.

Default Two Lane Blacktop

Two lane blacktop is my favourite road movie. The cars were great and they kindled my love of American cars. Jame Taylor is the 'Driver' and Dennis Wilson (Beachboy) is the 'Mechanic'. Their race across your vast
country with Warren Oats in his GTO is great.

I imported a limited edition DVD about 4 years ago and even had to have our DVD player modified to play the US disc.

PS I have just taken delivery of my new Z06...Wow

Great movie but I haven't seen it in a long time. Where did you find it as I would love to buy a copy also?

Two lane blacktop is my favourite road movie

Great soundtrack including the 454 and M22 gear whine on that 55 Chev, really brings back memories of the late 60's and early 70's with the musclecars hanging out at the drive in and street racing that use to take place on the back roads.

I downloaded it and watched it last night. The sounds are great and for it's day, before everyone was exposed to hot cars on TV and Speed Channel drag action it must have been a bid deal, but the movie itself kinda sucked. Not much to it I'm afraid.
