Default Canadian Forum Clothing NEED TO DECIDE SOON IF POSSIBLE!!!!

So there seems to be a great amount of interest in getting T-shirts, Hoodies or any other type of clothing, going here at the Canadian Events part of the Forum.

Spoke to my Embroidary guy and he has no problem getting what we want done. Depending on what it is of course.

What we need to do as a collective, is decide relatively quickly, what we want as a logo. I am meeting him tomorrow for some other stuff and wouldn't mind giving him an idea of what we want.

Bruce's idea will work great because he already has the basic artwork for that and would simply add any script (no extra cost). If we want the C6 logo he may have to get one made which will cost about $120.00 also. If we want the wolf head the detail would have to be simple or it will get lost in the stitching. He can also customize everything with nicknames and stuff like that. That would obviously be a small additional charge.

Costs are going to be around $10-$15 /shirt and $10-$12/ball cap.
He will use only top quality 100% cotton shirts and hats. I use his products all the time for my company and they last forever. As for Hoodies the price will range from $20-$50 depending on quality. The cheap ones are crap and will not last more than a couple washes....trust me I know. (No Dirty Z or J jokes allowed)

So lets make this a sticky and move on it. Get a list people and sizes wanted. There are no minimums but the price will go down a little the more we order obviously.

He can do any type of clothing as well so if anyone wants a jacket or golf shirt or maybe a wind shirt let me know and I will get the prices for you individually.

My 1st vote is for Bruce's design with the C5 logo and the script around it and a close 2nd is Lauri's "Real men eat Beaver!"

Let the games begin and Remember if we can get it decided by tomorrow morning it would be great if not no worries we still have time before the driving begins.

I don't need to know sizes or personalizations yet....just need a consensus on design stylel.

Jay

Hi Jay

Just my two cents I would like 2 T shirts size large, and I would go with Bruce's idea { the first one} and have my name and forum
ID handle on it.

Take Care

Good timing Jay...I had bounced the logo off a guy in Hamilton and he confirmed that the C5 logo design would be more cost effective. It would have my vote

With regards to the apparell, I think some guys (including me) would also like a golf shirt as well as a t-shirt and hoody. Can you get a price on a half decent quality golf shirt as well? With respect to the hats, I would be if the hats are the ol' baseball type (ie low crown), not like the "trucker" hats. Also, I take it we would just have the logo on the upper left side of the apparell and not the back

My suggestion is you come up with a clothing line up, relative prices (including name customization), post it and be done with it and let the chips fall where they may

Silversixx, I hear ya about being logo specific but that would only create a nightmare...i know, easy for me to say, I have a C5 but I think the design of that logo with the lettering works real well...JMHO

The logo posted works for me or even the C5 logo.

That along with your forum ID.

I'm in.

I'm still in but I agree with Mo, post a line-up, costs, and let the chips fall. Personally however I would prefer a generation specific logo as I don't want to appear as a C5 wanna be.

Although the given design is the easiest way to go, I'm sure most people would prefer gen spec shirts.

Don't cave because it's easy and PC.

Count me in...my only request would be to have womans clothing. I certainly wouldn't mind paying a little extra for that. I like fitted shirts with collars and short zippers and/or long-sleeve fitted (like the corvette shirt i wore to p & B...wouldn't mind a nice jacket for those show & shine evenings....

I'm a go for Bruce's suggestion however....

...DON'T SHOOT THE NOOB for this question .....is there a "generic" corvette logo that can be used to satisfy the generation issue?

If not, I would prefer my generation....

Actually would be kind of cool to have the different generations representing the Canadian section - shows our diversity and that we all play well together in the sandbox.....

Okay, first and foremost, the forum mods are aware of this plan, and this is a partial quote from a PM I received:

So, I have changed what it says in the example I made......the GM logos are copyrighted, so maybe all future discussions about items we would like to see made by others that have paid the licensing fees to GM happen off line.......and it might be in the best interest to edit posts concerning the non-approved manufacturing of copyrighted material....or have this entire thread deleted. Or change the design to something that is not copyrighted.

Bruce is absolutely correct.....I will get the design changed so that it doesn't cause any trouble with the forum or any type of copyright infringements.

We may have to come up with our own personalized Canadian events design.

Should be no problem to get women's clothing.....hope we can get a few more ordered so that it brings costs down.

Jay, what does Generation specific logos do to the cost?

All I can comment about generation specific matter is......I will ask him if he has it in stock....if not then there will obviously be charges for him to obtain them. It doesn't cost anything to ask so I will.

Also, what I will do is get a price list together for everyone listing different types of clothing with colour and size options with the respective prices. Keep in mind the more complicated we get or the more all the choices vary will also determine costs. As well as the personalization factor. If costs are not going to be an issue then we can customize every order.....otherwise keeping it simple is the best policy.

On a personal note......I don't mind doing this for everyone but if it gets too complicated and starts causing arguments and things like that between members then I will back out and it will be left for someone else to take up or become a dead issue.

As an option, there is a web site that will make you serveral different items of clothing based on your own designs:
