C6 NAV MP3 Fix

Today Applewood in Mississauga finally got the disks I ordered to update my NAV/Radio/CD player for my C6... of course they didn't really seem to want to actually install them (seems that all the tech guys leave at 3:30P on a Friday)

So anyways, came onto the forum to review the instructions (thought maybe I could go over, get the disks and do the install myself) to my great surprise, there is a link to allow you to download the CD's and burn them.

So next thing you know, I have the disks burned, and heading off to my underground garage to install them, I followed the instructions, and about 10 minutes later, I'm playing an MP3 disk in my car!

Yahoo! Any other C6 owners with the NAV system in the Mississauga area, you are welcome to the disks I made... just send me a message.

Does it fix the FM reception issue as well?

Great to hear that MP3 is now working on the NAV. Should have worked in the beginning!!

Seems to have fixed the FM issue, although to tell you the truth, I don't listen to FM much, tend to listen to 680 AM for trafic (every 10 min's on the 1's!) or 640 AM for Leafs Lunch. The rest of the time I have a mixed CD on.... so the MP3 capability is great.

I tried Jack FM and Q107, they both sound great...

Seems like the overall sound quality has improved, I guess they have tweeked the EQ or something.

The MP3 interface isn't bad, but it could be tweeked a little for easier and quicker song selections.

Overall though, I'm very happy! How long until spring?

Found out on Sunday that the NAV mapping software has been screwed up a little... so now it does not recognize any Canadian Desitinations... I'll be heading to the dealership and seeing of the "Tech2" device will solve this problem. I may need to use the disks that the Dealership ordered, if there is a difference between the US and CDN markets.
