January 12, 9 degrees Celsius, dry roads. Just couldn't help myself.
Went from this
To this
I couldn't believe she started right up. First time I've had her off the hoist since the Supermaxx headers were installed. What a great sound. Just let her idle for about 10 minutes to get rid of the cobwebs and then went out for a little cruise. Took it pretty easy most of the time but had to put my foot down just to hear the difference. At cruising speed the sound is almost the same as the regular exhaust but at wide open throttle she comes to life, just the sound I was looking for, aggressive but not annoying. There is definetely a seat of the pants improvement in HP, but a dyno pull and a tune in the spring will really tell the tale.
Anyway it was a great couple of hours, but all good things have to come to an end, and she is back up on the hoist with a full tank of gas, just waiting for the spring.
Pics of hoist, garage door and garage door opener?
Mark:
I wonder if I could ask you for a huge favour?
I am currently looking for a corvette. I have a single car garage. I like to park my daily driver(subaru outback) in the garage, especially in winter for obvious reasons.
One of the possibilities is to get a hoist raise the 'vette and park the subie underneath. This way I get a hoist and a two car garage.
Anyway, sorry to be so long winded.
See you have a similar setup. Can you give me the max height under the hoist, height of your garage door and pics of your garage door and garage door opener?
I have some friend that have done similar things but were able to move the door opener at an angle. Yours seems to be pretty strait.
