My car came with the FE1 base suspension, and its really "floaty" to say the least. Its a cheap upgrade that really tightens things up. I am also replacing my shocks with 04' Z06 ones. Supposed to be the best upgrade for the money. My shocks need replacing anyways, they are 7 years old now!

Swapping out the shocks and sway bars will really help. Have you given any thought to changing the springs as well? That would be a very beneficial mod as well.

Yes I have been debating about the springs as well. Posted my questions in the C5 Tech section and got a variety of replies. Basically if I am not auto crossing and just want a firmer daily ride. No need to change to Z06 springs.
From what I was told, the "spring rate"?? I think thats what its called is practically the same between the Z06 spring and the Basic FE1 Spring. Not much difference and not worth changing unless your into hardcore racing/auto crossing.

I agree, however, try Google Talk, it blows yahoo voice out of the water for clarity! My girlfriend uses it daily to talk to her mom in Israel!
And thats REALLY long distance!

I would still do it, it's not that much more work, and the end result will be that you will have a suspension package that is balanced and was designed to work with all the components, not 2/3 of them. Think of this: GM spends millions to develop things such as this, and I would trust what they know works. Those springs/shocks/sway bars were developed to work together as a system. You should also get your car aligned and caster/camber set to ZO6 specs to fully realize the gains from the suspension.

In the past, I have pieced together suspension systems in different cars, but once I realized that installing a packaged suspension system developed by professionals that know a whole lot more than I do about these things, I never looked back. You don't need to be into hardcore racing/auto crossing to realize the benifits from this.
