What was the name of the place we had our Dyno Day at?
I want to contact them to see if they do C5 tuning...maybe the C5 guys out there can let me know if they had their car tuned there. With some new bolt on mods planned (Z06 intake, headers, TB) the car will be flowing alot more air through it and I want to ensure its reaching its maximum potential.

when u add exhaust etc.....and get serious about tuning, i have an connection, and u wont have to drive across the city to get there.
i have many connections!
remember u want to do it right the first time, but keep in mind. u wont gain much in a bone stock C5.

Rick, not sure who your guy is but the guys in the US are picking up 25-30 HP on a stock C5 tune...40-50 with headers, hi-flo cats and ZO6 intake using the LS1Edit software. If your guy can't me get there, then I'll just wait till I go to Florida in May...thanks anyways

[quote=16again]Another easy question answered. Call Roger and the boys at Horse Power Sales. They sponsor the Corvette Challenge down here and are located in Pompano. 1 877 GET - POWR tell them Bob from the Challenge sent you. No Corvette TAX.[quote]
I've since spoken to the guys at Horsepower Sales in Pompano and it sounds like they really know what their talking about when it comes to C5 tuning. I also visited Kelly Chevrolet this past May when I was down there and was equally impressed with their C5 guys. I'll decide when it gets closer to the date. Do you know anyone around the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area worth looking up?
PS: The cruise in weekend is the weekend I get back from Florida so I'm gonna have to pass...would have been a riot running with you and Ray but maybe next year

So are you saying even with a STOCK C5 you can pick up to 30 HP? All I have is the air intake and Magnaflow Cat Back. What does one of these tunings cost? And is there one around here in the GTA?
But unfortunately, I don't know of any really skilled tuners in the GTA but given the market size and number of Vettes in the US, tuners can be found almost anywhere in the States

MO, if I go, I will most likely be driving back home on the Fri and Sat from the Cruise in... have you made plans for the day you will be coming back...Maybe we can hook up on the way home....

You may be a little too optimistic.
I gained just under 30rwhp with Supermaxx full exhaust, Vararam and tune, which is the average, unless you tune the car dangerously lean.....
Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
There's lotsa here.

Well, whatever it is (it seems HP numbers get people going here) I want to get a tune. Since posting this I've spoken to the guys in Pompano Beach and have set up the Dynatech install and tune for May,,,end of story!
You will also read guys who have had tunes and they report NO GAINS in horsepower or torque...so yes, who do you believe. I could post links to threads where guys have posted their dyno sheets but frankly, I couldn't be bothered. My mistake was posting HP numbers on this thread as it allowed some folks to jump all over it. You think I would know better by now. This is the main reason I didn't dyno any of my cars at dyno day. In the past when I have dynoed the cars its been on my own. Guys keep asking me what my 86 is putting out and I simply tell them "I don't know" when in fact I do. When the 86 walks a stock C5, they stop asking.
Some guys get obsessed with HP numbers and thats fine, thats their thing but its not mine. All the mods I do are for my driving experience but I have found when you start talking numbers everyone has an opinion on what you should be doing....like I said, I should have known better...I had it coming
Bottom line is the car is going to run better/quicker with a tune no matter what...regardless of the amount of extra pony's.

its really not a big deal at all........have u priced out dyno tune's yet in the GTA?
Eric at Redline doesn't tune LS1's nor does Barry. They get Wade to do their tuning and he tunes his customers cars at Redline as well. His number is 905-837-9164 at FTR. He does completely safe tunes and gets the max out of the cars safely.
