Default Door Control Module / doors not locking

yo guys.. i think a lootta c5 owners have this problem

I have a 2000 c5, and the locks wont lock or unlock at random times when i lock or unlock my car with the remote.

I need to replace both sides of the Door Control Modules...
but i just came back from GM today, and they said it costs 500 big ones to replace both sides.....

does anyone kno where else to get them?.. or are they just that expensive?!???????..

Its called Corvette Tax.. Get used to it!! everything is expensive to replace on these cars. For parts like that, you will be looking at either the dealer or maybe order from the US at a place like www.gmpartsdirect.com

Just out of warranty ? Argh!

500 BIG ones is the price. Check with Ray Levo at Wilson Niblett,
905 884 0991, Say Bill Smook referred you. I think he can save you something including the install.

your doors don't lock you say??

where do you live, and what time do you normally go to bed...
I will have this problem fixed very quickly..you'll never see those pesky locks again

that's pretty tight, I've never had that prob. w/h my locks, yet!? I hope!! (knock on wood) I agree w/h Bill, Ray is a good guy hopefully they can help you out..if you're somewhat mechanically inclined, I would just do the change myself though...

yo guys.. i bought too much stuff for the vette and i dont have anymo money..
so i dont think i will replace dem...

i've got a pager alarm anyways..

i heard that u can just open the door control module and clean it..
and it'll be fine.!!!

thanks guys for all the help!!!!!!

ill give the cleaning a try... if not... i'll just leave it unlocked and carry a bat & wait for my pager to beep... hahhah
