Default Canadian mid year project

Hello
I hope this is the correct spot for this , but I was wondering if there are many project cars out there in Southern Ontario
This is mine, (63 street/strip)and I would like to hear from other people around the area. I live in Beaverton, 1 hr north of Toronto

Hey Tom, welcome to this crazy forum spot we want renamed "Canadian Off Topic"!!! Sweet looking project you have going there, how long have you been at it so far? Any idea of a completion date? Love the big block and the 4 link rear, it takes balls to cut up a mid year!

Hello
I like your engine Motorhead. Nice aluminum heads and I saw the stud girdles $$$
I hope to have the car out next summer, but I still have lots of work to do. I am setting the body on this weekend for hopefully the last trial fit. The GM floor goes back in and I have all of the dash, 63 trim, headlights etc.
I do work at Ventra as a tool and die maker.......if this is a boss asking., all of my car work was done at home.......ha!
Actually years ago, we could do stuff at work on our own time. I had a drag car frame(chromoly) I welded up in there and used to store it up on a shelf through the week........those were the days
I was not really aware of this Canadian section until I saw something on CF ....I am glad I found out about it
take care
Tom

henny496 Have you ever heard of a guy named Nick Paiva? He was a Production Manager at Ventra if my memory serves me right. I used to work with him in his previous job. He's presently at Multimatic.

Just wondering?

Hello Maymyvetteliveforever
WE have three plants in the area, so he could of been at Bradford or Tottenham. I personally don't know him, but I may recognize him if I saw him

Tom, I worked at Bradford location, but was in and out of the Beaverton facility quite often. Loved the drive to Beaverton in the Vette. I was mostly there for meeting, but sometimes spent time on the floor with Wayne and Jim.

Hello Desi
I know who you are now. I would of been on midnights, but I know Jim and Wayne spoke of you to me, and I think some of the guys mentioned you had your vette up there.
I guess this is getting off topic now for the forum
If you have some pics of your car send them to my e-maill address(or post them on the forum)

Nice ride there Tom, I live in Sutton, not too far away eh?

I used to call into your plant every week with my previous job, and have been in your other plants as well.

Metalworking fluids and press lubricants. If you hear of any problems or specific needs, let me know, I'd love to get back in there.

Hello Desi
Your car looks really good. I was talking to Wayne about you today.......he says you still owe him 5 bucks( OK, I made up the 5 buck part, but I was talking to Wayne and he spoke highly of you)
He really liked your car as well. I know he was going to buy one, until the wife told him NO!

I remember Wayne saw a good deal on a 74 or 75 and he was all ready to buy. Then I sent him a 3 page list of all the items to look for before buying. I think that scared him off Finally, his wife said no toys until retirement.
