Default It was great to see the Drivers

It was great to see the "Drivers"(and passengers) yesterday on the Corvettes for Kids Road Tour. The weather was a beautiful 23 C / 77 F. Before leaving at 10:00 a.m. from 403 & hwy 5 for St. Jacobs we were supplied Tim Horton's Coffee, Muffins, and Tim-Bits.
About 12:15 p.m. we rolled in to St. Jacob's and parked in the large lot beside the river behind the main street. The lunch provided was sandwiches, foot long sausages, all the condiments including great sour-kraut. We had until 2:30 p.m. to wander the town and do some shopping. Most of the men stated in the lot and bench-raced and relaxed by the river.
At 2:30 p.m. the 1st group departed for Mississauga and "Kool-Cats" restaurant / bar arriving just after 4:30 p.m.. Refreshments were ordered. Announcements made. Some prizes given out to the major pledge donors. The BBQ dinner was served. More give-aways, and then the auction for some of the best gifts. A C5 wool/leather arm jacket went for only $150. My wife won the right to buy a large framed print of the C5 R Poster signed by Ron Fellows for only $150. There were great bargains to be had and ALL monies going to Camp Oochigeas which is a summer camp for children with cancer.

I have not heard the totals but there were close to 50 Corvettes and over $ 25,000 raised.

WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!
