How long did this take you to do and how big was the drop?

I did the same thing! It just means you still have a load on the spring...look around, make sure there's nothing...use a bottle jack to reduce the pressure on the spring if needed...Also, some have taken the bolts off the bottom part of the shock mount to reduce pressure as well..Haven't tried that though..Just make sure you torque those bolts back properly on the shocks if you do remove them.

Dropping the front takes about 20-30...the rear 10min..

I tried that........It lifted the car and the bolts still wouldn't turn.

Maybe I will try undoing the shock when I do an oil change this weekend.

Thanks

Thanks for the pictures, I found them as well as others during a search on how to lower my vette. I still haven't found a detailed how-to yet. My guess would be front - lift, place on jack stands, remove wheels, use jack to relieve pressure on leaf spring, turn counter clockwise to lower (both sides); rear - I'm not sure on this one, but I haven't read where you need to relieve pressure on the spring. Can you just raise the rear, and turn the bolt until there are a few threads remaining in sight?

Thanks guys.

Here is a picture showing my desperate need of a slight drop.
