Just drain it out in street sewers...hell I pay sewer tax, might as well use it!
no, just kidding! I have oil disposal at work and a few other places as well. Some of my friends would take it to Crappy tire and told me they had one there, but I'm not sure as I've never checked or asked.
I only knew of one crappy tire that did this but they closed. Remember the old one that just sold auto parts on kennedy road, just south of Hwy.7(queen st.) in brampton..It's now a PartsSource store. That was a good idea, drive to the back, drop off your containers of old oil and they would recycle it for you, no charge. I wonder if Part Source does it!! I've bought a few things there, good prices on Mobil1 when it's on sale. I think a box of 6L was $34, better then $10.50/L at the dealer!
I prefer to change my own oil as long as the weather allows. If it's to cold or I just don't have the time my wife usually takes it to Costco, which I believe they charge around $18.95. As for the waste when I change it myself, I usually put the used oil in the empty container and leave it at Canadian Tire or our local recycling center.
Just out of curiousity what oil and price does everyone use/pay for there baby, or should I have said girl? I was using 20w50 Castrol, but since the car hasn't been on the road in a looooong time I just have 5w30 in her now.

I use 20w50 Castrol as well for the spring/summer/fall then switch to a 5w30 over winter where I just start her up 1/month and get up to temp.
The cheapest I saw 5w30 was at Costco, the brand was Shell, and it sold in a case of I think 12 @ around $1.55 per litre. Unless it's on sale somewhere I haven't seen it for any less. I don't know what the 20w50 sells for and I do believe they have Castrol, as well as other various brands. Keep in mind that all locations don't always sell the same brands.
Only ever used Mobil 1 5w30 Synthethic and its about $110 when you take it in or 7.25 a liter at Canadian Tire.. The only gas station on teh road that I think carries it is Esso, and they want 10-11.00 for a liter
