Part of the family just got back from the Formula One GP in Indy. I'm sure the Edmonton one will be good also. Maybe we Albertans need to do a meet in the middle in Calgary??

We are heading out to Alberta for holidays and would love to but I have a wife and two girls and the Stampede won out.

By the way, do you work at one of the plants? I am home for the summer from Suncor(Laird).

I am going to Edmonton for the Grand Prix with 3 other guys. We are all travelling in the same car, obviously not a vette. We will probabley be wearing our club shirts or some kind of Vette t-shirts. If we run into you say hello.

What cars are running in this GP? I used to live in Edmonchuck in '79 and played rugby with the Ed. Clansmen. I envy your summers as they are the most beautiful anywhere in Canada with the midnight sun and all - well except those mosquitoes, they are giants. We used to look out onto the pitch and there would be a dark cloud over the scrums - all mosquitoes.

Sorry, just got back from Sask. yesterday. Did not get a chance to get on the Forum.

I will be sitting close to the beer garden, so I'll look for you guys there, or in the padock area.
Should be no problems finding you, should only be 100-140K people there

Well, made it to Edmonton. (About 450KM).
I will post pics, once I figure out how to do it.

Made it home. The GP was incredible. Over the three days, 200K people showed up.
We lucked into some "gold" tickets for the Miss Grand Prix finals. What a show, great looking ladies and free booze and food. The Finals was sportware and bathing suits....
Life is good.
Once I have time to figure out how to do it, I'll post some pics.
