Default First kill........sorta!

So my wife was working yesterday, and I was looking after my boys, crash & smash, they are 3 and 5 years old...........needless to say, at the end of the day, I was wiped! I decided to go for a nice relaxing evening cruise since it was a beautiful night, and I needed to do some chillaxing........no better way than driving the vette! I head out around 9pm, and I tell the wife I'll be back at 10pm with a coffee for her.......as I am nearing home at the end of my cruise, there is this late model Mustang tailing me......he stays behind me for a while and I keep thinking whats this guy doing??? He must be sizing me up I think.....after a couple of lights, he finally pulls up beside me at the front, and I think oh ya! it's stoplight nationals time!! I don't even look over at him when he keeps revvin his motor, don't want him to think I'm game or anything! I can hear the blower on his motor each time he revvs it, I used to have a Mustang with a blower on it, its a sound I am very familiar with..........I quickly start running the numbers in my head and conclude that it will be a close race, so I decide to go for it!!! The light turns green and we both roll about half way through the intersection before we both drop the hammer at the same time........I wasn't pulling him and he wasn't pulling me, so my hp estimates were right on..........we are soon in the triple digits speed wise, so I decide to get off the gas first, and he does soon after me.........as I roll past him, we are both giving each other a thumbs up......at the next light, he says to me "What the hell do you have in that thing??" I tell him its a 406, and he smiles and says thats awesome.....the light turns green and he hammers away, I don't bother because I've got nothing to prove at this point.........I notice his plate as he's leaving "MEANMCHN". I am telling this to pal today, and he tells me that that guy has been picking off people for the past few weeks in this neck of the woods, and has apparently made a name for himself on the street........I just laugh! That was fun, it was my first "race" of any kind anywhere since finishing the vette, it sure made all my hard work for the past 7 years worth it!! Evie kicked azz last night for me!!!!

Oh, and BTW

IBTL!!!!

**DISCLAIMER** - I do not condone street racing, nor do I do it on a regular basis, just once in a while, and only if the traffic conditions are right.......meaning no traffic!

I saw him tonight. Was he on a tire when you ran him?

I didn't even notice Alex, it was pretty dark........was he on a tire when you saw him? Where did you see him? I haven't been in the street racing scene for a few years now, the hot spots used to be Victoria Park & Gorden Baker, Kennedy & Steeles, Morningside & Coronation, and Pine Valley & Hwy 7......where does the action happen now? I wouldn't mind checking it out one night.

What year was that mustang? I had too much addrenaline pumping to notice!!! All I know is that is was a late model, maybe even an SVT, and it sounded mean!

Not sure on year of car but it was the body style just before the current one, 99+. It sounded nice, had a black hood and mach one shaker scoop. Yes it was on an ET Street and the rims were very different from front to back. Up until a few nights ago the big boys were out in Oshawa, now it's scattered all over the place. Kennedy 401, Texas Pit at 7 and 27, woodbine and 16th, I was at Whites and hwy 2. The season is very slow this year, not like a few years ago where you’d go out and see 20+ runs now I often come home without seeing any runs.
