I don't think it will look good with the lines of the C8. Corvette buyers are not Dodge Challenger buyers, so won't flock to buy purple. It'll replace one of the 1-2% colors at the bottom of the list.

Sebring is 100% better than Amplify, but I don't think the new (old) yellow is going to look great either. Yellow looks good on smaller cars, imo. The C8 is huge (compared to the C5/6 on which yellow looked good) , and will need a lot of black accents to break it up.

Yeah we need a bright acid or green, their purple is a fail. Better yellow and orange are back though. In 2026 maybe theyll go bright green. I don't get it. They are too conservative with such an exotic looking car.

Dang... wasn't expecting this much of a yellow "reversion" i.e. so much less green. It's basically Millennium Yellow w/ metallic!

I see the new yellow as being more for older guys and accelerate yellow appealing to the younger crowd. No offense to either one.

I'm 42.... younger for Z06 owners I think. I hate AYM. This new yellow is much richer and more akin to a Ferrari color.

Competition Yellow was a C4 color, it then went to Millenium yellow on the C5. I wonder if its the same C4 CY?

It also is more to the roots of Corvette Racing. Look at the C5R and C6R. Also more on the scale of Ferrari Yellow and Lamborghini.

Name only... same a C7 being "Admiral Blue". C4 Comp Yellow wasn't metallic and was a smidge more green/brighter than C5 Mil Yellow. This new color really looks like a metallic Mil Yellow.

Damn, wish Comp Yellow would've been available for '24! Just ordered mine and couldn't stand the accelerate color. Grr, jealous already.

Furman says it's not metallic (the yellow), but Jeremy Welborn says it is and it looks to be to my eye in the pics. A very fine metallic like AYM was.

Ah...well... probably not or at least not until the coming ZR1 has been out a while. Right now the C8 that best suits me is the Z06, but never say, "Never."

In that lighting the purple looks like C6 LeMans blue with purple metallic mixed in. I may have to rethink my ZR1 choice of colour.

The new purple will look good on the ZR1 paired with the signature blue calipers/logos.
The new yellow is great, good color for the Z06.

Do like me.…. get a HSG with Black interior. Add XPEL Stealth PPF to the HSG and normal to the black accents. Enjoy all the likes for a while.

Then have your guys add whatever color wrap you want for however you want it.

Rinse and Repeat

I always wondered why a purple wasn't offered, while not that exotic looking, I'm sure it will look nice in person. Those little models need a 2 step paint correction. lol

They're "OEM correct" as that's how your C8 looks after the shipping bag is removed

While i preferred Blade silver, Silver Flare is very "rich" in person with a lot of color flop. The tan interior brings out the gold tones in the paint and it looks very luxurious.

I think the "purple" looks more violet. I have a purple car and it looks more purply.
