Z06 production push before ZR1?
Seems like the Z06 orders used to trickle out, and this month there are ZERO Z06 constraints and it seems like more and more Z06’s are being delivered daily and more and more at or close to MSRP. I realize there are physical limits to how many Z06’s that Bowling Green can produce daily (less than 50) but it would seem that the process is humming along.
I’m speculating if this is a deliberate production push prior to the ZR1 reveal this Summer as the eRay production ramps up.
I am further speculating why some dealers (including my local dealer) are more willing to sell Z06 at MSRP. Is GM incentivizing dealers to move “X” number of Z06’s (thereby encouraging reduced or eliminated ADM’s) this year to land “Y” number of ZR1 allocations next year?
Whatever the reason, my Z06 order is moving along. Order placed on 4/18, and went to Status 2000 the same day. Went to status 3000 today. Hopefully we’ll get a TPW next week.

How about they get more cars ready for spring summer driving season?

I’m surprised they don’t take some supply from the sr line and produce more z06 cars.

It’s a production line pace thing.

I think its more about some Eray build issues and having more wide body line space and filling the Eray holes with Z06s

I went on a plant tour today and the guide told us both the Z06 and ERay need a little more time on the line so you will never see them back to back. Always at least one SR in between. Didn’t see them even that closely spaced. I did observe either an ERay or Z06 every 3rd to 4th car. So the total number of Z06’s and Eray’s is fairly fixed as a percentage of SR produced although from what I saw they likely could add a few more to the line. I’m assuming ZR1’s will also have the same time demands and will also take up some of this ERay and Z06 space as well.

I think that after the NCM bash that they will start to bring up the 2025 line and prepare for the 2024 line to stop building to make room for the 2025 line.We should be seeing more information from gm soon. They already have release photos of the 2025 c8 and zo6 with new wheels.
