I find it hard to imagine the Zora as hybrid twin turbo Corvette as it’s going to be such a porker, what if the Zora is a package on the ZR1 like the ZTK was on the C7 and it’s a hardcore lightweight track option instead (CF wheel, Cup 2Rs, big **** etc) as Zora was a racer?

Yep, throw a bunch of magnesium in if you have a customer base that will pay for it. They'll offset the weight. Looking forward to seeing how they do it.

Just to add to my previous guess of hybrid, twin-turbo 5.5L CPC: Corvette ZR1(000) for 1000hp. Why not?

That could be the "unthinkable" part too.
Separate but same entity if that makes sense lol.

if they do it, I think they’d trim a lot of weight off the hybridized version. Enough to where it has a similar or even lower weight than the regular ZR1, even with the added batteries and electric drive system. Money won’t be an object on a super limited, hyper-car like, version with an MSRP through the roof.
At the prices they will likely charge, I'm hoping they do this for the ZR1. I rather they produce a smaller displacement, TT engine that outputs 800hp with these light weighting measures than some 850+hp bloated monster that doesn't address weight savings to at least offset the FI application.

ZR1. LT7 FPC V8TT version of the LT6, 845 - 905 hp. Liquid intercoolers with interchiller for hero runs. 0-60 in the lower twos. Pure ICE variant.
Zora. To come after LT7 production quality is sorted. Basically a ZR1 with the E-Ray’s eBooster front axle. Interchiller will be reserved for battery cooling since the eBooster will make every run a hero run. 0-60 around two seconds.
Open question: how is turbo lag addressed? Twin scroll with low redline to keep compressors in efficiency band? VGT? I suspect they’ll aim to keep it cheap to manufacture so not a VGT. C9 Z06 will probably use an updated version of the LT7.

They’re definitely twin scrolls based on the leaked parts descriptions for LT7 from

This guy claims he heard a GM engineer say that the ZR1 would not have a FPC. I find it hard to believe an engineer would spill the beans on this, unless he/she was given prior approval to throw out teasers. Go to 18:03.

Me too. That way i can still hold the crown for the z06 trifecta and those can fight over the crown for the ZR1 trifecta
