Yep, just saw this video. I am interested to see what easter egg details people will be able to pick out of it. And glad to see the ZR1 reveal is immanent!

Can anyone do frame capture and see the shape of the wing in the blacout as the car comes through the mist? I think it's a Z07 Z06 profile. Not the big flat profile.

EDIT WRONG!!! See below

I saw the wing and had it paused at about the same frame shown there. I also noticed it has canards and similar widebody panels and front fascia we are all already familiar with from the Z06 and E-Ray. At least from what I could see in the silhouette.

Perhaps this will put a dent in the Z06 waiting lists.

Doubt it.. The ZR1 will most likely be a limited production. Hope I am wrong though.

While the dent may be small, it's reasonable to project that a significant number of Z06 wait listers will jump to the ZR1. Hell, I may and I don't think I'm alone.

If you haven't been on a ZR1 list for years now you're not getting one unless you can pay a significant ADM.

On YouTube Desktop, you can scrub frame by frame using the comma and period keys.

Here's the close-up of the front end with the shadows raised, you can see the canards.

They've never limited production of any model of road-going Corvette other than what build capacity allows for. If the demand is there and they can build them, they will.

Good luck finding a ZR1 list that is not already full. Those who want one bad enough are already on lists where available, so the impact is kind of already baked into the existing Z06 lists. I know MacMulkin has not started an official list, all they have is a list of people to notify once they determine how they are going to make their list. Then it will be a $#!+ show much like it was with the E-Ray list, and how Ciocca did their Z06 list. So many people ready to jump on the chance to send a deposit. Many feelings will be hurt very quickly. I can't afford a ZR1 anyway, so I am on the sidelines watching.

Based on the ring we know what the car is... but this confirms (or seems to) that the big wing isn't some placeholder for a different design. The front end is the same as Z06/7 but hood is vented. Sides is where it gets different w/ the trailing tail vent in the side inlet and the inlet on the decklid.

For predominately street use I'm not sure this offers anything over a Z06.

Perhaps the number of ZR1's from previous generations is irrelevant to this time around. The C8 certainly has found itself in quite a crazy market since it's inception!

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. You mentioned "limited production" which implies a purposeful thing. That's not what GM does with Corvettes or any of their cars. They will build as many of them as the line (and supplies) allow for it.

Z06 has been out for a year and a half now. I guess I should have clarified that you're not getting one anytime soon near MSRP.
