Zo6 cost and availability

Zo6 cost and availability
I keep seeing on here people believe the zo6 is becoming much more available and will be sold at MSRP. I have seen a few ZO6’s at dealerships selling at MSRP but not a lot. I see MM has a used 2023 for sale at almost $170,000. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe they still are not building a mass amount of the ZO6’s. Allocations seem to be hard to get still. I still see markups on a lot of the used ZO6’s. Most of them don’t even have the 707 package with the big mark ups. I seen people posting on here that the C8 Zo6 is gonna be easy to get now and may sell under MSRP. That seems hard to believe. Just curious on people’s thoughts. Thanks

I would say it's easier (though not necessarily easy) to get a Z06 at MSRP now, but the Z07s still seem to command a high markup. There are numerous members here who have said they got their Z06 at MSRP, virtually all I've seen are non-Z07. If you are willing to purchase a car already on the showroom floor, probably not what you would have ordered if you got an allocation, and out of state, then you probably have a decent chance of getting a non-Z07 Z06 at MSRP. My two cents.

People are misleading. Just went through all this with a friend who got a 1LZ for 5k over just yesterday. He’s savvy and looked all over. Either the dealers directly charge a markup or they charge MSRP and then mandate 5-10k+ in ‘dealer options’. These are overpriced ceramic, tint, nitrogen, ppf, etc etc. A third possibility is they screw you hard on a trade value to get the Z06. People claim they got it at MSRP but in reality they paid a markup one way or another.

I’ve been looking daily for a month, I have seen like 2-3 at msrp, but not good builds at all. Any C07 is commanding 15-40k over. Out of 30-40 inquiries I have made to dealerships for non-C07, avg is 5-15k over. That’s about as accurate as it gets.
Now, I do believe in 6 months, this will change, because there will be way more Z06s out there and economy is slowing, so maybe you will get at msrp at that point. I heard that GM is ramping up production later this year.

If you're a serious fan of the car and a true buyer, 5-15K over is well worth it. One of the greatest cars ever built. Just buy one if you can swing the bat.

The Z07 command a higher price, but doesn’t that also include full aero builds. Many want aero, but not the stiffest ride and short lived tires. Those were as much questions as statements. I don’t claim to be in the know, but that is what I have heard and come to believe.

I agree with the above comments. Dealers who get an allocation for themselves will go for an easy to sell build. Less than $10k in options, Black/gray/red exterior, etc. to keep it simple and under $120K. Aftermarket options are out there and there are plenty of reviews on those in this and the other forum. So if you find one at MSRP to $10k over and it's 'good enough', then pull the trigger knowing that you can enjoy the car now and keep adding to it.

Ordered a z06 Friday at MSRP. Dealership had allocations and started at 10k over. I presented evidence a couple of Z06s sitting on lots at MSRP. Then they took the offer at MSRP if I agreed to finance it.
Right now nothing z06 is on constraint.

While waiting for an allocation my dealer in Baton Rouge LA has offered my 2 cars at MSRP when other customers backed out. Both had competition buckets which are unacceptable to me. I'm tired of waiting and really want something very close to my build. I found one I like in Texas and agreed to 10k over. Picking up this Thursday.
You can find them at sticker, but you gotta be ready and not picky.

And Z06 still has restraints. You got bad info.

So a lot of what we're seeing from the dealer end is customers backing out when the ordered vehicle arrives. Then the dealer has to sell the car to someone else specced the way it was. Also they need to move it quickly so they get back in line for another allocation. A lot of these MSRP ones are exactly that.
