As others have stated there really is no such thing as "must haves" that are universal...only must haves are the individual wants and needs. I have my car with most options checked however, for me, the only real must have was the HTC. It it perfect and I use it almost everyday that the temp is above 50 degrees and no rain. It was such a must have for me that I might not have even bought the Z06 if it was not an option.

Z07 aero is great for the track but adds enough wind resistance/downforce that it decreases gas mileage enough to increase the gas guzzler tax. Ten bucks says the non z07 cars with CCBs are measurably faster in a straight line than a Z07, all other things being equal. For a car I’m not taking to the track, I’d rather have a slightly faster car. To me it also looks nearly as crazy and ridiculous as the GT3 RS spoiler. Highly functional on the track but over the top for a street car… it’s personal preference obviously - just my 2 cents…

.1sec faster in a straight line? Not even noticeable, just like 40-50 more hp. Drivers skills also matter. Rear Aero Spoiler makes the whole car in my opinion. You know when you see it, it is a Z06. Again, my opinion of course

No need to get Z07 if you want the aero. Now don't have the hassle of ditching the Cup 2 R's which is 50% of what is exclusive to the Z07.

I wanted the looks and stiffer suspension, why is that a problem? And I had the dealership swap the the Cup 2 tires for PS4s, so I can drive the car home on the street without any issues, before I even picked it up. And I already had Belle Tire balance my new rims with the Cup 2s, so when I am ready to take it to the track this summer, I'll be ready to go. Dont know why people keep insisting the Z07 isn't good for the street. It is perfectly fine, and it isn't a hassle. Many of us do it.

There is no problem if you select Z07 fully informed. It's your money after all.
The issue for me is the misguiding others in their decision making. Like saying get the Z07 as a must have for a street-only car. And if the reason you say Z07 is a must have is because of the looks, you're steering them wrong because you don't need to select Z07 to get the aero. You can get the looks and a more street friendly vehicle by just selecting T0F/T0G.
I am not saying you are necessarily doing that. But I have seen plenty of people on facebook, etc do that. It does bug me a bit because maybe they are not fully aware of the limitations of street driving the Cup 2 R's and maybe won't like the stiffer tuning to the dampers. And now you're adding further expense and hassle for that person to ditch the Cup 2 R's. And they are steering them that way simply because of how the car looks with the aero.

I have a dedicated race car and so this will, for at least the next few years, be a street car and maybe a few track days at most. I like having the highest performing version, but am worried about how drivable it will be as a semi-daily/weekend driver. And then if you put it on the track a lot, then you will likely change brakes, springs etc.

I have an opportunity to order what I want....What are your MUST HAVE Options on the 24 ZO6. I have a week to spec it out. Thanx for any feedback! I have a C7 Z51 that I modded & will keep. The C8 will stay stock, so I need to evaluate & consider your opinions. Thanx in advance.

I love how all Z06s look, but I love the aero, IMO it completes the look of them.
But, that’s great we sort of have choices depending on constraints and availability.

agreed - there are lots of great choices. Who knows, perhaps the larger spoiler will grow on me to the point I add it later??? The red mist HTC used in the promo photos of the Z06 unveil was the car that caught my eye and spec’s mine to look the same.

I bought mine preowned so it had options I didn't have on the 24 build (Z07, aero, comp seats). The three I wish it had is front lift, dual roof, and black exhaust tips. The exhaust tips I can change, I can buy a transparent roof but the nose lift is not a feasible add. Still extremely happy with my decision to get this car instead of waiting.

Z07 needs a PS4 option.
