Tracking 2024 Z06
I'm prepping my 2024 Z06 for track days with Girodisc rotors, Motul RBF 600, XP12 pads, Cup2 R's etc. and a couple of LT6 bolt-ons. Interior wise some Cobra race seats with AMT mounts, harness bar and harnesses from my 2021 C8 Z51 track day car. My question, Has anyone with a 2024 C8 had any issues swapping the C8 GT1, GT2 or Comp seats to race seats and 4/6 point harnesses other than the simple airbag or seat belt dash light as in my 2021 C8 ? Will any or all these new 2024 Corvette "safety additions" of Automatic braking, Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Alert, etc. (all of which I believe can be turned off) cause any tracking, etc. issues?

i had a few alerts come up on me this past weekend at VIR ('24 Z06, october build date)...i think it was forward collision alert but there did not seem to be any braking intervention. i ran zmode with PTM in WET (track was wet), then Sport and eventually Race 1 once i felt the system was being too intrusive. i didn't notice any safety nannies in any of the settings so i didn't specifically seek them out to disable them...
i'm in the stock seats but i need to get lower because i keep bumping my head on the roof ... i've never put race seats into a car but i think it'll be mandatory if i keep this car a while for my comfort/safety. what harness bar are you using? could you share your setup once you've got it installed?
i used stock rotors and fluid and GP40 pads with good results on PS4S. zero fade, zero soft pedal. tires held up pretty well but could've used more grip through the turns. i'll probably do the track alignment for my next outing to help prolong tire life and turn-in.

Thanks for the reply. I looked further into the settings on the screen and in the "forward collision, etc." areas in settings it appears that most of these nannies can be shut off with only an alert light on the dash. I'm about 5 weeks from my first track days with the C8 Z06 so I'll be working my way through Z mode, Sport and then Race 1 or 2 along with other sub-settings as I learn the Z06 and its personality. It should be fun!

fun indeed. when putting the car into track mode using the little wheel i couldn't figure out how to adjust PTM ... so i used Z mode which made changing PTM easy as i was lining up for my session. fuel-cut for TC was pretty violent once or twice where it didn't like my throttle jabs, but otherwise i felt like the PTM settings worked well... as i got faster i noticed them being more intrusive and i found Race 1 to be a great fit for me.
which track are you going to next?
enjoy and keep us posted on your seat, bracket and harness bar installations!

I'm a club member at Thompson Motorsports Park, Thompson, CT. only 35 miles away but about an hour drive mostly local roads.
Also I used the CMS harness bar (Competition Motorsports) Deluxe model, with the precut side panels and bottom harness mounts, the seats are Cobra Nogaros, AMT seat mounts and Schroth ASM 4 point harnesses. I hope this info helps. Joe

I doubt you're gonna have any additional items to deal with in the 2024 vs the 2021, but please report back here when findings!
