Regardless of what the seller says, I would NOT risk getting a Z06 with a voided warranty. In fact I would want confirmation from GM. So not worth it.

Yes they do. Before buying any pre owned Corvette always check the warranty status with Chevrolet

#1 As a buyer I would not buy a car and leave it titled in the seller's name.
#2 As a seller I would not let the buyer keep the car in my name. Liability.
#3 I would not give a seller a substantial deposit and wait 5 or 6 months to complete the purchase
#4 It's not worth the risk of having the warranty voided or having to fight GM about whether the 6 month restriction is legal. Even if you did manage to win It would cost you a ton in lawyer fees and the car would sit for months or years without being repaired.
Bottom line, in reality, is if you care about the warranty play by the rules. If you aren't concerned about the warranty go for it.

For instance. This dealer is saying they are taking offers and they typically looking for 50k over. thats what they told me over the phone. Not sure what the song and dance will get you, but i'm sure you can try and let them know MSRP is it and see what they say. They had 2 last year and they are trying to get what they got last year and those days are over.

Does not matter. It is in the manual that comes with the car outlining the terms of the warranty. Of course you can hire an attorney and fight GM in court to try to enforce the warranty and the right to transfer it to a subsequent owner within 6 months but hardly see how this would be worth it. Bottom line is if someone is buying a used Z06 they need to do their due diligence and find out if the warranty has been blocked or if the car is eligible for warranty.

You do understand that incoming inventory for all vehicles, including Corvettes, are automatically added to dealer sites at MSRP price. Dealers are either too lazy to change price to reflect their actual price, or leave intentionally to create traffic. But if you actually call on those cars, they either asking 10-15k over or have some other dealer add ons required.
I have found 2 Z's for MSRP thus far that were close to my build, but there were things I didn't want to compromise on. One had red dipped interior and other had red seats with the accents. They were posted as MSRP and when I called. They were selling at MSRP. Even local dealerships sell at MSRP depending on what sales guy you talk to at the same dealership. Some salesmen want 10kadm, and ohers MSRP. Go figure. All of the cars that I have found are all backouts from people that ordered the car and backed out at the end for whatever reason.
After seeing 15k off a 100k stingray at MacMulkin. I have decided to wait till probably end of year when prices are most likely going to fall on the Z and see what happens.....Thats unless I find a sweet deal that falls in my lap before then.
Bottom line. If you want to find a car at the price you want to pay. You have to get on the phone and emails, social media, etc to do the work and find one. Simple as that.
