Not just my ZO6, I don’t want to keep any new vehicles past the initial warranty.

If the car stays reliable I'll probably keep it for as long as I can have some GM backed warranty.
I have no interest in an out of warranty DCT replacement...lol

First year will be crucial. If the car goes in for major repair, my plan is to get rid of it as soon as it gets fixed.
Otherwise i'll decide at the last minute before the B2B warranty runs out (if i keep i'll buy extended).
But really it's tough because if there is a C9 z06 that will retain some sort of V8, i want to get on that list asap but i know that's at least 2031-2032. Too far ahead. I'm ok with a hybrid z06 which is likely if there is a C9 z06.
This car is amazing for what it is. Last NA monster GM has given us however i just can't see this car being reliable past 5 years. It just won't happen.

A long time. This will be the last really high-revving NA V8 that we ever see, so I'm planning on keeping it quite a while. I really like our current C8 Stingray, and the Z06 should address my two gripes with it (exhaust not loud enough, and doesn't rev high enough/needs a little more power). Of course having said all this, I think the longest I've ever owned a car was 7 years.

Building a new house with 8 garages, and presently have one house with 6 and another with 3 three. Probably sell the house with 3, which leaves me with a total of 14 spaces and presently 10 cars (our Audi Q7 bought to haul our "big" dog sits outside), so I will realize a net gain of 5, so no need to get rid of anything, just keep buying. However, if I like the ZR1 and it performs equal too or better than the Z06, I will sell the Z06.

I'm hoping a lot of years. I kept my modded C6 for a dozen years. The Z06 checked all the boxes I wanted in replacing the C6, I'm also not interested in dropping $150k for another car in a few years.

Originally I was one of those “for life” people. I’d still love to do so as I believe this Z06 will be the first and last of its kind… but that’s unlikely given the potential repair costs outside of warranty. I’ll likely look at an extended warranty for as long as I can apply one, and look to trading in for a C9 Z06 if that model remains ICE or at least hybrid. Definitely not trading in for an EV, I don’t care how fast it’’ll be.

Depends if I’m able to get a C8ZR1 in first year or so at MSRP. If not, then I’ll probably wait and see what C9/C9Z looks and performs like.

This is likely the last of the kind of car I want. I have zero desire to own an electric appliance no matter how fast it may be so I'll keep it as long as I can. Passion and excitement built into cars is about to come to an end. Its over folks. People that are truly passionate about cars and the sound and interaction these cars give will look back on these years fondly.
What would I replace it with? The ZR1 if like previous generations will be extremely fast but I don't know that it will be more fun to drive than the Z06. This car is already too fast for the street. The only other car that I'd love to have is a GT3 but Porsche prices have gone insane so I'll be keeping this for a long time unless I have a lot of problems with it.

Until the ZR1 comes out, depending on the price of the ZR1.

I love my Z06. Possibly trade for a ZR1 but I have mixed feelings. The ZR1 will likely be twin turbo which means faster but less driving involvement, less sound and driver engagement. Looking back it’s kinda like a GT3 vs GT2 or 458 vs 488. Although the latter was faster the former is universally recognized as the better car. I too have some concerns over the reliability over time although both of my Z06s have been problem free so far. Time will tell but no plans of getting rid of my Z07 at all …

MB1 said it best for all the reasons he stated, I echo all the same sentiments. Although I have been lucky to own many corvettes over the years and loved them all (I am 55) this car I WILL NEVER SELL…..

Had my C6 ZR1 for about 8 years and I read that some parts are either discontinued or getting hard to find. My C7 ZR1 I've had about a year and its an amazing car, no plans to get rid of it anytime soon, and my C8 I've had a few years and will most likely sell it for a new ZR1. I usually keep my cars about 5 years but the ZR1s are an exception imo. After I get my C8ZR1 I think I'm done with cars for a while but who knows how the C9 will temp me. I don't daily any of them so I guess that also plays into my decision on how long I will own them.

I think these new vettes will be dumped when the warranty is going out. I want nothing to do with a c8 out of warranty, or any car these days foreign or domestic out of warranty. There is not one car out that has no issues. I love the corvette, and always will, but hate to see the issues down the road.
saying all this…….. this is why it’s important to let the dealer do the services, if they see you always coming to them and spending money, it’s a good chance they can goodwill a part for you and go to bay for you to GM.
