Anyone else Stuck at 3000 status since 1 August? Asked MacMulkin why and they said they didn't know. Not a good answer. What gives?

Pretty simple. You, I and many others are in the lucky group of receiving an allocation in the midst of a massive supply shortage on parts that are now heavily constrained. I'm going to assume you have carbon parts on your car. The latest TPW I received was early 2024.

I've had 3 TPW's. 2 in September and 1 in October. Now none. I don't have any carbon aero just level 2 carbon on the interior. Nothing I ordered was on constraint when I placed my order and at 3000 status obviously GM accepted my order. You would think that if they accepted my order there should be enough parts supply to build the car. What am I missing?

No way to know for sure. I think the common belief if that a supplier signaled to GM they would have enough parts available for some options at build time, then failed to deliver those parts. So it wasn't on constraint since the supplier said they would have it ready, but when it came time to actually build the car the parts hadn't been delivered yet. The whole "just in time" supply thing is great until it isn't.

I’ve been stuck at 3000 since July. I know mine is due to the carbon fiber interior and exterior parts.

I have also been stuck at 3000 since July. I have no carbon but my delay is the HTC engine appearance package. I have a current TPW of 13 Nov.

I spoke to Corvette Concierge yesterday asking why I had a TPW of 10/30 a few weeks ago, and now I have no TPW ? Here is the answer I got;

"Corvette production does not assign TPW's until the order reaches status 3100 or 3300, no TPW's are assigned at level 3000. The TPW I was given at level 3000 is a guestimate only, made by the dealer "

Don't know if that is true, but that is what the concierge said. He told me to call back in 3 weeks..... The last Corvette I ordered was a 2020 C8 and do not remember what status it was at when the TPW was assigned.

The dealer has no authority or access to assign a TPW in the production control system at any stage. The above answer is completely false, they just don't know why your TPW disappeared. Just FYI, my TPW of 10/16 also disappeared a couple weeks ago and yesterday I got a new one of 11/13 but still holding at 3000. They will build it when they have the parts, until then, we wait with no real answers.

Got an answer to an email I sent to MacMulkin about being stuck at 3000 status since 1 August.

"We totally agree with your frustration and we want nothing more than to get you behind the wheel as fast as possible but GM refuses to give us any inside info on production and delays. We even have many 2023's not invoiced yet. You would think being the largest (Corvette dealer) in the World we would get something from them. Hopefully yours moves along soon and you get your new Z06. You're going to love it. We appreciate you always being so loyal to us and hope you understand we do everything we can for our customers to have a great experience."

I appreciate their response and hope that GM can get their act together soon.

Sorry this has happened to you, welcome to the club. I still don’t have a TPW. I expect my car will be produced next year sometime in Q1.

I’ve been stuck without a TPW since July. It’s extremely frustrating because those who order now without carbon are receiving theirs very quickly while we all sit and wait without any indication when they will be built.

The concierge isn’t a very accurate info source based on my experiences with both a 2020 stingray and 2023 Z06.

But TPW does not become freely shared until 3400

It’s the carbon. Tons of cars sitting in the dirt lot that are waiting on carbon still before they will even make yours unfortunately.

Newb question, but what does a 3000 status mean and can you change any of the options when in 3000?

3000 is accepted for production and no, you cannot make any further changes at that point. Order is committed.
