I screwed up. I should've made 2 more poll options but I can make a note in the first post to clear this up
If you vote please post if your issue is C8 Z06 specific or it is a situation that could happen to ANY C8.
I can make a list for those two options if you make that known.

I was not in custody of my new 2023 Z for 2 hours when it had to be towed back to the dealership for extensive repairs. This was three weeks ago. No word from GM or any help in getting it back on the road despite my plea for help. My attorney is going to file a lemon claim this week. Shame GM insists on doing things the hard way, and I've been loyal to them for decades with my auto purchases.

I think the "issues" category needs to be be broken down into further choices- eg. minor issues w/ less than 5,000 miles major issues w/ less than 5,000 miles, minor issues w/ more than 5,000 miles, major issues w/ more than 5000 miles, etc.

I can't adjust the poll but the guy who owns this car.
He had the front lift pump go out down couple days.
But he has the tick from left side. We compared engines. I said i would drive it until it blew up. You have 5yrs pwrtrn.

I know you can't adjust the poll anymore but it should've been more specific but brief at the same time.
Like C8Z - no issues (and state your current mileage)
DCT failure (and state the mileage at failure)
Engine tick or failure (AND STATE THE ENGINE BUILDER, and of course mileage)
Misc failures (electronics, mag ride, front lift, infotainment, fuel pump etc)
Also you're right we do have 5 year warranty so run it til it blows and you'll be covered but if it's this hard getting GM to diagnose the issue and/or fix it (if you been watching brandon's videos), wouldn't it be worse to risk trying your luck and driving the car knowing it has an issue until it blows?
Meaning shouldn't an owner at least visit a dealer so it's documented that he/she attempted to have it fixed by going to the dealer? And if they don't do anything about it, THEN run it until it blows. I would at least make a first attempt at a dealer visit so it's documented there is an issue, and the owner knows about it, then it's up to GM to decide what to do. If they do nothing, then the owner does nothing, let it blow and you get a new engine/DCT, etc.

Here's my reasoning.
The people that have had the fix complain it's still there just less. So they don't have a real fix yet. Longer we wait they'll get better. Just like the A8 shudder. Took them 3yrs to figure out the actual reason. That the fluid choice was hydroscopic. Changed the fluid on the line early 19 model year trans were perfect. I had both.
My guess is it will be revised numerous times until they have the right combo of changes water its parts torque specs etc.
So instead of taking a bunch of stuff apart for a bs fix hang onto it.

nah. Run it until it forces your hand. Like gm said drive it. It ain't gonna matter when as long as its under the warranty. They will have to fix it.

They'll just be like, "so you didn't know the engine was ticking this whole time? All of a sudden you're driving it and it blew up?"
Or what happens if you're taking this car to the track and it happens at the track. Now GM will have no record and no idea of what your car's history in your ownership that they might play around with you and your warranty. Not likely but never know.
And if you do get a lawyer, remember GM is a lot richer than all of us lol. They can afford lawyers to make small people like us go away.
Idk, i would at least just show up one time so it's documented. I'm just praying my car doesn't have issues. But reading all the horror stories now is starting to make me plan for the worse and most likely i'm going to keep my C7Z even longer. I'm starting to appreciate that car a lot more now. It's very well built.

thanks for making this poll. I'm on the fence to take my allocation with all the issues I'm seeing on here and this at least helps put some data behind it.
