Still honor in the world
2 years and 3 months ago I put 1k deposit for z06 at msrp with my dealer. verbal agreement, nothing on paper except receipt for the 1k. All the stories that have been shared here by people in the same situation who were told msrp but when time came to buy there was substantial mark-up over msrp had me very concerned the same may happen to my deal. Well I am here to say there are still honorable dealers in the world. I placed my order today { dealer got allocation] for the build i want at msrp. Kudos to O'Reilly Chevrolet in Tucson.

My same experience. Bought from my local dealer at MSRP. It was my third Z06 purchased from them. C6, C7 and now C8. My original salesman got promoted to manager which helps. Verbal agreement with no deposit.
I also let them display it for a week on their showroom floor (roped off) while we waited the accessories to arrive. They appreciated that because it was their first Z.

I can't believe you stole my future C8 Z06 build...JK.
Dale Earnheart Jr Chevrolet (DEJC less than honorable) also displayed my 2021 C8 Z51 while installing my LPO parts (carbon fiber (CF) hi wing, CF gnd effects, CF grill, splash guards). DEJC excessive charges of $3900 above what GM or my local chevrolet dealer would charge...disputed charges still unreconciled.

Update: Picked up my ZO6 today and the dealer kept his word, not a penny over MSRP, didn't try to stick me with addons either. Great experience! I took it right over to their body shop to have the Scrape Armor grill guards installed so I'll have some pics in a couple of days.

We are hopefully picking up our Z07 in a couple weeks (finished build, waiting on transport). Our dealer, DePaula Chevrolet, did the same. Handshake on deposit and held their word even with the sales associate changing over the years. No games on order list # and Confirmed in writing MSRP sale at time of order. Could not be more excited to have an HTC in time for the end of summer and fall drives up here.

I can never understand why people don't ask their dealers to send a simple email confirming that the car will be sold at MSRP and that the deposit will be refundable at the time of deposit. It's literally the easiest form of due diligence, and something I asked for and received.
