I've ordered a set of wheels. They're 20x10.5 and 20x12 in the rear.

Going to try to run nankang CR-S in 285/30/20 and 325/30/20.

Will let you guys know how it goes.

Since you’re going down an inch in the rear I’d recommend doing the same in the front and run their 275/35R19 as I saw a C8 run that front tire with the 325/30R20 rear, hope that helps.

I have a 20" wheel. So the 19" tires are no bueno.

Thanks,
unless you are a YouTuber looking for content drama and/or have to get the absolute best lap times spare no quarter second, the cup 2 R will last you 3-4 normal track days with proper track camber. Rotate left to right wheels after 2 days to help balance wear.

You can run them until they chord (not just when the outside line disappears half way through the life) and most likely you’ll only chord the fronts after 4-5 days unless really really pushing it. I doubt you will chord the rears ever on track but rather heat cycle out after 32-35 or so sessions and the rear gets unwieldy.

Regardless, run a set until they Actually chord to know how much you can actually get out of them unless running costs are no concern.

there is a lot of meat left, 50% or so, even after the outside line disappears. Pic is a regular cup 2 from my 350R, but the principle is the same on when they are truly done. I’ve used up 15 sets probably

Also, I have 2 sets of Cup 2R tires that have 1 full track day on them (z06). I bought them used from those that “money is no object for best times.” Look fine to me, I’m planning to get 3-4 more track days out of each set.

FYI 285/35/19 and 325/30/19 don't work unless you turn off traction control and stability control. if you don't turn off stability control, the rear brakes will constantly be working and you will fade the rear (stock ccb). I did that within 1 lap after 2 warm up lap. People recommendation of 285 or 295/30/19 is better choice

Im guessing this is due to change of the rake and the car balance is off, this throwing a wrench in the Nannie’s management of the car, just like it does in cars like Porsche GT3. So wouldn’t going 19/20” be a better solution?

I bought a set of BC Forged last black Friday at 20% off. 19x12 and 19x9.5 with custom offsets for my SR for $3300. Running 325/30 and 275/30 on them.

So what tires would you run on this setup?

295/30/19 & 325/30/19
Continental extreme contactforce
Hoosier R7
Goodyear supercar 3 (if they ever make them again)
Nankang CR-S v2
Toyo R888R

If the 305 works on the front, that would open up a couple other options including the Goodyear 3R as well.
Any feedback on the tires above? What worked, didnt?

I have done three track days on 295/30/19 F and 325/30/19 R Nankang CR-S v2. Tires stick very well and are wearing great with -3.0 F / -2.5 R camber. Still probably 2 track days left on them. Excellent setup if you want to drive to the track, run some laps, and drive home.

BC Forged 19x10.5 F and 19x12 R. Monoblock forged aluminum with knurled bead seats and diamond cut face finishing.

I have chatted with 3 rim providers, one says get 9.5" fronts, another 10.5 and last one said 11", its extremely odd to get such a massive variance in rim sizes and for backs, some say 12, other 13. Overall, we talking about 4.5" variance, which is insanely huge for a car of this size and power, i mean who wants to give up that much rubber?

The rim width variances I found during my research are often due to individual company forging limitations, desired brake clearance, chosen offsets, structural integrity of the wheel design, targeted loads, etc. Bunch of moving parts that dictate different recommendations. It also makes a difference what balance you prefer at the limit and aero load. I prefer to kill the understeer (hence the 295 front) and prefer a bit of oversteer at the limit so I went with a 295/325 combination which works well for me. I also chose 12" as it will fit both a 325/30/19 and a 345/30/19 with my setup to open up more tire options. There wasn't a good 345/30/19 option when I had my wheels made (and still not for me personally), so I went with a 325/30/19 for more choices.

Most of the 19" setups out there are geared toward a 295/345 combination which suggests the rear size of 13", but it's also worth noting that some tires are larger than others even given the same size ratings. The 325/30/19 CR-S v2 for example is essentially as wide and as tall as a 345/30/19 Hoosier R7 based on my real world measurements when mounted and works well on a 12" rim.

As I mentioned before, I run a 19X11.5 front Forgeline GS1R with CCBs, but i would say that is about the limit. I get very minor tire-to-brake duct contact at at full lock. 13" rears.
