Default VIDEO: Vertical Doors on my C8 Z06 look amazing and work nicely

This is one of only a few mods this car will ever see that's not performance based, but I felt it was needed. More than just a sweet look for the car, the practicality of these Vertical doors have been nice. Anyone with a C8 Z06 knows it's hard work parking in a lot and trying to squeeze out because the doors swing wide. These vertical doors solve that. I've been thoroughly impressed the last 2 weeks now with these! They developed the C8Z kit off my car right at the manufacture facility and this kit has been stout. It's something that would be a great touch for many C8 owners, not all but many. If anyone has any questions on a kit for any of their cars just shoot me an email and I'll do my best to get you the answer you need: info@jesseiwujiperformance.com

Looks cool. How is the wobble on the door? Does it feel solid, or does it feel noticeably "aftermarket"? That's been a big point of hesitation for me when I see these vertical door mods.

Great point! I'm not feeling any real wobble, feels like it could be OEM honestly. Shoot me an email and I can show ya more pics and stuff or do a little quick video for you

In the video it looks like there is noticeable wobble and play in the doors when you lift them. OEM vertical doors, that I've seen, don't have that play or wobble.

Why did you choose not to use one of the kits already on the market for the C8?

How about showing getting in & out of the vehicle.

I'm not sure what wobble you're talking about, also the kit already out for the C8 is made by this company as well. There is nothing out for the C8z06 that's why they used my car to develop a new kit , the C8 z06 is not the same car as the C8 by any means, especially when it comes to doors.

I was thinking same. I’ve had previous cars with vert doors.

I'm trying to figure out what wobble you're talking about?

I don't think its possible for aftermarket doors to be as solid as OEM doors that were designed from the ground up to open vertically. Aftermarket vertical doors on a Corvette will always require the door to be opened a little bit the normal way before being lifted up, so there is always going to be a little wobble since there is still a hinge that lets the door open outward.

They're the same doors. Same part number. At 3:23 in your video the door clearly wobbles as you're lifting it up. Too much side-to-side play is to what I was referring. OEM vertical doors more in a very linear & smooth motion. That's all.

The spacing, panel width, and quite a few other things are different when it comes to the entire door system for my car versus a base C8. If you put the base C8 vertical door kit on this car, it will literally not open up at all without breaking or ripping off the fiberglass on the door or front fender.

What happens, if a passenger goes to get in and pulls the door semi hard past the lifting point?
