Yes. I’d like to see it in more natural light in person to really judge. Saw the color on a small EV SUV at the auto show earlier this year, under those lights I was surprisingly less impressed than I thought I’d be. Seemed to lack depth and complexity, looked like a basic sparkly blue to me.
I agree, in this picture it looks nice. Hoping by MY25 we get some actual interesting and fitting colors… one of the silver linings in waiting.

Yes... it's darker than I'd hoped.

Its a great looking Blue...Choices....

It reminds me of the blue IROC-Z I had as a teenager. Seems like a nice color, just not quite as bold as I’m looking for. It’s probably a good fit for someone who just wants a normal metallic blue.

It would match the 427 car we have....now if ony a matched vin number could happen...
The 68 is code 978 International Blue.... For me the 68 or 69 color lineup should replace the 2020-2023 colors.

I was at the show too and the orange z06 didn’t look anything like it does under real outdoor lighting.
hopefully the ev cuv in riptide blue suffered the same fate.
the guys at the bowling green bash later on this moth should give better insight with the Eray being on display outside etc.
riptide blue looked great in the Eray video so we can wait until the guys report back from the BG birthday bash this month.

I agree that spec is stunning, but that’s an Elkhart Lake Blue Z06, the color this Riptide Blue is replacing. Personally prefer ELB between these two metallic blues.
Would love if they eventually did a Rapid Blue replacement… similar shade but with some subtle metallic (like AYM) in it to help with color depth and showing off the lines of the C8. Would be a great color and very fitting for the exotic nature of this car.

Of course, seeing it again, in more natural light, on an actual Z06 would probably be best to reserve final judgement. Might have a change of heart in certain specs who knows. Doubt it though.

We definitely need new colors introduced.

I would love to see the Z06 in Guardsman Blue. I painted my 65 Cobra in this color, PPG paint with 6 coats of clear. (with Wimbledon White stripes) Phenomenal

Not a bad color, but once again GM only adds generic bs colors

To be laguna blue was one of the nicest c7 colors. Most people agree that I can tell. Why not reintroduce that?

Rapid is a fad blue that, imo, has overstayed its welcome. ELB is a very nice blue but I always see it paired with silver wheels and grey interior which takes away from the blue.
