Yes. I’d like to see it in more natural light in person to really judge. Saw the color on a small EV SUV at the auto show earlier this year, under those lights I was surprisingly less impressed than I thought I’d be. Seemed to lack depth and complexity, looked like a basic sparkly blue to me.

I agree, in this picture it looks nice. Hoping by MY25 we get some actual interesting and fitting colors… one of the silver linings in waiting.

It reminds me of the blue IROC-Z I had as a teenager. Seems like a nice color, just not quite as bold as I’m looking for. It’s probably a good fit for someone who just wants a normal metallic blue.

It would match the 427 car we have....now if ony a matched vin number could happen...

The 68 is code 978 International Blue.... For me the 68 or 69 color lineup should replace the 2020-2023 colors.

I think the show lighting gave hopefully a false impression of riptide blue.

I was at the show too and the orange z06 didn’t look anything like it does under real outdoor lighting.

hopefully the ev cuv in riptide blue suffered the same fate.

the guys at the bowling green bash later on this moth should give better insight with the Eray being on display outside etc.

riptide blue looked great in the Eray video so we can wait until the guys report back from the BG birthday bash this month.

That's it, they had a Z07 in that color at the Denver auto show. It is stunning in person.

I agree that spec is stunning, but that’s an Elkhart Lake Blue Z06, the color this Riptide Blue is replacing. Personally prefer ELB between these two metallic blues.

Would love if they eventually did a Rapid Blue replacement… similar shade but with some subtle metallic (like AYM) in it to help with color depth and showing off the lines of the C8. Would be a great color and very fitting for the exotic nature of this car.

Right. Was replying to the poster who quoted the E-Ray picture saying he saw the Z07 at the auto show with the same color. My post was of the Elkhart Lake Blue Z06/Z07 he was referring to.

I couldn’t articulate what I didn’t like about it but you hit the nail on the head. The color gave me that exact vibe. Like it would be a decent reintroduction of an outdated color on a modern super car. Not unattractive but not sure it fits the personality of the car the way other colors would. Just my opinion though, I’m sure some will love it.

Of course, seeing it again, in more natural light, on an actual Z06 would probably be best to reserve final judgement. Might have a change of heart in certain specs who knows. Doubt it though.

This Z looks great, but if you look at the current stats, Elkhart Lake Blue is second to the bottom of chosen colors. Only above Caffeine. Kind of surprising.
We definitely need new colors introduced.

I would love to see the Z06 in Guardsman Blue. I painted my 65 Cobra in this color, PPG paint with 6 coats of clear. (with Wimbledon White stripes) Phenomenal

To be laguna blue was one of the nicest c7 colors. Most people agree that I can tell. Why not reintroduce that?

I agree Laguna is probably one of the best blues on a Corvette. I almost bought a Laguna Blue Z06/Z07, M7 back in 2020 (at a killer price) but just never really loved the C7 body style. My very first car at 16 was blue but then I never bought a blue vehicle again until my current Portimao Blue BMW - 37 vehicles between the first and now.

Rapid is a fad blue that, imo, has overstayed its welcome. ELB is a very nice blue but I always see it paired with silver wheels and grey interior which takes away from the blue.
